• Candidates possessing Postgraduate degree with minimum 55% [50% marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates] or an equivalent grade from a University or a recognized institution of higher learning in Biochemistry/ Relevant area from any recognized university along with M.Phil are eligible for admission
• The candidate must submit a PhD proposal at the time of application
• Selection will be based on the presentation/ interview before the Doctoral Committee
• There is no age limit for the candidate who attending the interview
• The PhD programme seeks to conduct research studies to increase the knowledge and technologies of the students 
• For Doctoral programmes, application forms submitted between 01 April and 30 September are considered for January session while applications received between 01 October and 31 March are considered for July session
