  • Candidate can apply online for admission in IIT Hyderabad. Please follow below mention step for applying online:

    • Get a login: Create yourself a login in this site to get started with the application process (see a line heading "You must log in or register to view this form").

    • Choose the option "Create a new account" in the user login menu, enter a login name of your choice and a valid email address.

    • An email will be sent from IIT Hyderabad's email-id for verification. Please click on the link provided in the mail to validate your account and to set your password.

    • Use this password along with the login name you provided to log in to this site.

    • You can change your password or request to reset the password on this portal

    • Login to the site and follow the links in the Main menu on the left to fill your application form online.

    • The email alert will be sent to your email address, Please make sure that emails with the from address "" do not get caught in your spam/junk mail folder.

    • It is requested not to fill the form in Private Browsing or Incognito mode.

    • Your application is not submitted until you 'click' submit Button

    • After submission, you will receive an acknowledgment mail on your registered mail-id.

    • While uploading documents in form give the Unique Name to avoid uploading errors.

Application Process for M.Sc

  • Applications can be submitted by online mode only through Official website.

  • No hard copies of documents are to be sent to the Organizing Institute. The documents are to be uploaded to the online application website only.

  • No additional requirements, like suitability tests or Interviews, are needed for the programmes for which admission process is through JAM.

  • The application fee for Admission is Rs.600/- for all candidates and to be paid ONLINE ONLY using credit/debit card/ net banking. NO challan payment is accepted or Rejection of offer to be done ONLINE only.

  • The application can be submitted after paying the fee.

Admission Process for M.Des

  • The selection process is based on a Design Aptitude Test and the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for personal interview.

Admission Process for M.Sc

  • Candidates need to produce JAM Scorecard at the time of reporting for admission If demanded by Admitting Institutes.

  • Seat Booking Fee also has to be paid ONLINE only using credit card/debit card/net banking. No challan payment is accepted.

  • IIsc Bangalore, IISR Bhopal, IISER Pune, IISER Tirupati, and Centralized Counselling for M.Sc/M.Sc.(CCMN) may also use the JAM results for admission to their postgraduate programme. 

  • The admission in these institutes will not be done through the common JAM admission process.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

  • The candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs:

    • The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks.

    • For SC/ ST and PWD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of a minimum 65% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Des

  • M.Des is a two-year full-time Programme which aims to provide a broad-based understanding of design along with provided broad-driven specialization in varied domains like visual communication, moving images, interaction design, and photography.

  • The candidates should have a valid CEED score and a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination, Which are:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2

    • B.F.A (4-year professional programme, after 10+2)

    • G.D. Art (5-year programme after 10th) with one-year post qualification, professional experience Masters degree in Arts / Science / Computers Applications (2-year programme after 10+2+3) 

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

  • The candidates who qualify in JAM 2018 shall have to fulfill the following Eligibility Requirement (ER) for admissions in IITs.

  • All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor's degree.

  • In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates
