The IIT Delhi infrastructure is excellent and has developed substantially to provide the best facilities for its students. Spread over an area of 330 acres, IITD is flanked by Outb Minar and the Hauz Khas monuments.

Hostel

• The IIT Delhi hostels are separate for girls and boys.
• The hostels have sharing facilities, with 13 hostels allotted to boys and 5 hostels allotted to girls.
• Although the rooms are non-air conditioned, for now, the common rooms and dining areas are air-conditioned.
• The hostels are equipped with all the basic amenities and other facilities such as reading rooms, lounge area, indoor gaming area and a dining hall with mess.
• In addition, faculty and staff accommodation is available at the IITD campus.

Library

• The central library at IIT Delhi has substantial collections in physical sciences, engineering, and technology, with a vast collection of volumes.
• It is also equipped with a video viewing facility and has CDs of video lectures kept in the Computer Applications Division of the Library.
• The IIT Delhi library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopaedias, dictionaries, handbooks, journals and many more.
• The institute has access to over 59,000 full-text electronic journals, proceedings standards and over 15 databases for students.
• In addition, the IITD infrastructure has built an enormous library that houses over 1.9 Lakhs books, over 1.03 Lakhs bound journals, thousands of microfilms, theses, and technical reports.

Cafeteria

• Indian Institute of Technology Delhi infrastructure includes various cafeterias spread across the campus for the students.
• Shops like Amul, Lipton, Nescafe, Cafe Coffee Day and other chains are present in various hostels.
• The boy's hostel has a South Indian cafeteria near it.
• Kumaon, Zanskar, Aravali, Girnar, and Karakoram hostels have tea shops.
• Vindhyachal hostel has a Lipton, and the Nilgiri hostel has a Mother Dairy behind it.

Medical Facilities

• The IIT Delhi infrastructure includes a 14-bed hospital that is centrally located on the campus.
• The hospital provides OPD treatment and admission for general ailments.
• The hospital has 10 allopathic doctors, 1 homoeopathic doctor, 1 dental doctor and 4 doctors on a contract basis from Apollo Life for the night.
• There is also a 24/7 availability of doctors in the emergency.
