The WBJEE 2026 exam date will be announced soon on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. The exam is expected to be held in the last week of April 2026. Registration is likely to begin from January to February 2026, for admission to engineering, pharmacy, and architecture courses.
The MAT 2025 December session registration has started at mat.aima.in The last date to register is December 7 for PBT and December 15 for CBT. Admit cards will be available on December 10 (PBT) and December 18 (CBT).
Candidates must have passed in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination and at least 30% marks in English from any recognized Board are eligible to apply for Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur admissions.
Candidates must have passed in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with Maths/ Business Maths/ Statistics/ Computer Science as one of the subjects and at least 30% marks in English.
B.Tech:
The candidate must have a pass in Higher Secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) with individual pass marks in each of those subjects and pass marks (30%) in English.
B.Tech Lateral Entry:
For Lateral Entry, Diploma holders have to pass Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category)
The B.Sc Degree holders have to pass B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 50% marks and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Admissions are made on the basis of merit through the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board #wbjee or Joint Entrance Exam #jee-main conducted by CBSE Board.
Admissions through Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders in the 2nd year (Third Semester) level of the B.Tech Programme is limited to a maximum of 20% of the sanctioned intake in each discipline.
Such seats are filled from JELET examination qualifiers. Other conditions as per State Govt. notification.
The candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply for Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur admissions 2025.
The graduation may be completed under (10+2+3) type of education.
The candidate must have passed with at least 45 % marks.
Admissions are made through Management Aptitude Test (MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi) or WB-#jemat (conducted by the MAKAUT, Kolkata) qualifiers.
Selections are made on the basis of academic performance plus score obtained at Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or WB-#jemat examination.
Final year candidates who have appeared for the above examination and awaiting their graduation results can also apply.
However, such candidates have to bring their mark sheets and relevant documents at the time of admission to the Institute.
