Anna University is a state University that was established on September 4th, 1978 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The University was named after Late Dr.C.N.Annadurai, a former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Anna University’s main campus is in Guindy, Chennai while the satellite campus is in Chromepet, Chennai.

In 2001, the University became an affiliating University taking over all the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu including six government engineering colleges, three government-aided private institutions, and over 400 self-financing colleges.

In 2018, Anna University ranked 10th in India overall, 4th among universities, and 8th among engineering institutions by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018

Anna University has released the 2020 result for the semester exams Result held in the month of November/December 2019 for the UG and PG students. Students can visit the Anna University official website to check the Semester 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8th-semester of UG/PG exam results. Students can check their results by using their login details. The results for the upcoming examinations will be declared on the University’s result portal in August 2021 (Tentatively).

Anna University UG and PG Results:

Anna University conducts its examinations twice a year on a semester basis. The odd semester examinations are held during November/December and the even semester examinations are held during May/June. The results for upcoming odd semester exams will be declared around January 2021 (Tentatively) and for even semester exams around July 2021 (Tentatively). The WLX app is Anna University’s official app for results and can be downloaded from the Google Playstore.

Anna University Internal Marks:

Anna University has a dedicated student portal for checking the elective and internal results. After the internal exams are done, the results get updated on both the result portals. The internal results are calculated based on the 3 internal assessments conducted by the University.

Anna University Student Login:

Earlier, the only way to check your internal marks was by meeting the faculty member of your respective college. So a few years back, the University launched a new student login portal [ and] for the students to be able to check their elective, internal, last semester results, etc..

For the students to access their results through this portal, they’ll need to provide their registration number and date of birth.

Revaluation of Anna University Results 2020:

After checking the results, students who're not happy with the marks they received can choose to apply for a revaluation of their answer script. Students who want to apply for a revaluation should first apply for a photocopy of their answer script for a prescribed fee. After receiving the photocopy, you can check for any discrepancies, and if found any, you should bring it forward to the Controller of Examinations.
