The UP Board Class 12 Chemistry exam 2026 is of 100 marks, out of which 70 marks are for the theory paper and 30 marks are for the practical assessment. The theory exam is conducted for 3 hours and the question paper is of a mixed pattern, containing both objective and descriptive type questions. You have to get a minimum of 33% marks in both theory and practical separately to be declared passed.
Long Answer questions in the theory paper have the largest weightage of 28.57%, which makes them the most important section from the scoring point of view. The UP Board Class 12 Chemistry practical test is of 30 marks, equally divided between the Practical Exam (15 marks) and Internal Assessment (15 marks). The following are some of the tips to score high using the UP Class 12th Chemistry Weightage 2026:
- Unit II and Unit VIII should be given more attention because they are the two units with the highest weightage in the syllabus.
