  • The academic routine in MIT, Manipal is light and gives a lot of room for extra study time, extracurricular activities, pursuance of hobbies, taking up projects, club activities, and for life in general.
  • There are no more than 4.5 hours of theory classes per day(including a half hour break) and 3-hour labs according to schedule. So, there can be a maximum of 7 hours of academic learning in a day, depending on whether or not there is a lab on that day. The classroom learning is such that the teachers here mostly try to give you the information you need to either treat as sufficient or as a base for pursuing it further, for deeper learning. Studying a few books suggested per subject is the way through the assignments (surprise tests) and exams. Standard methods of teaching are the conventional blackboard and slide shows. Although the teachers always include simulations, videos and other tools to assist them. Sometimes, there are even some other experienced people

  • In MIT, The students are  provided with multiple opportunities in terms of technical and extra-curricular activities right from his/her first semester. The college has its predefined timings according to the no of batches in each branch. These are generally not subjected to change.
  • Each batch generally has 3-4 full days and 3-2 half day respectively depending on how many labs they have in that semester. There was rumor that the college might have reduced the no of working days to 5 for the coming batches which I\'m not sure of, though.
  • The college does boast a large no of faculty thereby reducing the student-faculty ratio. The faculty too have varied experience ranging from 2 years to nearly 25 years. Many of them are having Ph.D\'s and all of them having at least an M-Tech degree.
  • In Manipal Institute of Technology, the teaching quality is pretty good and even if the students face any difficulty from a

  • Method of teaching-Quality of teaching is good, they\'ll tell us which book to refer, they explain everything.
  • Overall experience is excellent. We get to know many things. We can join in any clubs.

  • Classes and timing; starts most days at 8 am, some times at 11:15 Am. It depends on the time table, as classes continues it ends at 4-5 pm Projects and assignments ; as I am in first Semester, still there have been not so high level of projects given, but some assignments regarding to maths and seminars on English have been conducted so far! Tests ; is very strict and love that, because it gives chances to people like me to excel. The college is clean, classes are good and teachers are nice and Frank and are always ready to help us in anyway. So, in conclusion, I\'d rather be in this college than any other college.

  • We have 6 working days in college . Generally 4 half days and 2 full days, though this varies with every semester it is the general timetable over the semesters. So, the timings for the 2 full days are 8:00 A.M-12:30 P.M (classes) and 2:00 P.M-5:00 P.M(lab).The other 4 half days only involve classes with timings from 8:00 A.M-11:30 P.M or 1:00 P.M-5:30 P.M.
  • Quality and method of teaching varies subject by subject . Some subjects are taught to us through slides. While some involve the old school blackboard teaching.Quality is pretty decent overall.
  • The overall college exprience is amazing to say the least. It actually works towards improving the overall personality of a person .
