The School of Management, Manipal was formerly known as the Manipal Institute of Management. It was established in 1999 as a constituent school of Manipal University, which is now known as the Manipal Academy of Higher Education [MAHE]. It is one of the top management schools of the country that offers various Masters of Business Administration courses.
SOM Manipal produces industry-ready graduates that can easily adapt to the constantly changing management landscape. We have an e-pad based exam system which helps the student to write on a tablet instead of a paper which makes the evaluation transparent and hassle-free. We go with interactive teaching methods like blended learning, presentations and group discussions.
Manipal is famous for its extracurricular and co-curricular activities and there are amazing clubs where you can be a part of many and excellent.
The college has a trimester system which has many classes of 40 hours followed by the exams. There are assignments which added up to about 60 marks of the final scores. The assignments are given in both groups as well as individually. Every subject has a minimum of two hours of guest faculty lecture and 3 to 4 assignments. The overall experience was good.
Based on the four specializations there are four clubs along with additional clubs such as Volunteer Service and the cultural club, sports club etc. Onam, Christmas and other festivals are celebrated at the college.
