International collaborations: The training and development program of WGSHA is recognised by the International Hotel Association, Paris. Placements: MU is proactive in placing the students into positions of their preference. The institute has a well-organised placement team headed by the Associate Director (Industrial Liaison, Placements and Practice School) and comprising of faculty and student coordinators from each department. On an average, over 60 companies visit Manipal for campus recruitments every year. Hands-on experience in all departments of hospitality, like cuisine, housekeeping, front-office management and other facets gives WGSHA graduates a clear winning edge.
Infrastructure and Facilities The only Hotel Management College in India located within a University campus. The age and size of the campus in a sustainable environment with state of the art infrastructure and teaching learning resources. All facilities match global standards to enhance learning and faculty-student interaction having excellent Faculty-Student ratio of 1: 10. Faculty and students are engaged in publishing and research work, which is supported by large collection of digital learning resources. Faculty members regularly publish papers in various national and international journals. The college has established the Centre for Excellence in Hospitality and Tourism Research (CEHTR) to focus on research, consultancy and continuing professional development initiatives in the area of hospitality and tourism management within the college. Curriculum is non-vocational in nature; Contemporary styles of teaching learning through social media are encouraged. Fee Waiver Scheme The State Government has started a fee waiver scheme to help the economically poor but meritorious students. Further information regarding this can be obtained from the office of the Registrar. Education Loans Getting Education is no longer an insurmountable problem these days. Education loans are available to the needy and deserving students from the Nationalized Banks at reasonable rates of interest. Theses loans are repayable after the completion of the degree/diploma. Financial Help It is a motto with the management of our Group, “Poverty would not be allowed to stand in the way of the completion of the education of meritorious students. Such students are generously helped. Academically intelligent and poor students to acquire higher education by giving them financial help in the form of tuition fee waiver. Relaxation in tuition fee is also given to merit position holders in the qualifying examinations/competitive examinations and position holders in the University examinations. The parents of meritorious students are also honoured along with the students in the annual functions of the Colleges.

I have interned at 3 different luxury hotel properties-
Key companies like Taj Group, Oberoi Hotels, Marriott, Holiday Inn hire our from our campus for roles in various departments like Food & Beverage Service,Front Office,Housekeeping,Sales,Marketing,Finance etc.
Average salary packages for undergraduates are Rs.3,50,000 per annum,with more than 90% of the graduates getting employed within 3 months.

There are separate hostels for 1st-year students and for others. The hostel fee is INR 1,40,000 per annum. The food provided is good. PG's and apartments are available. Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls is good and we have Wi-Fi facility.
Academics & FacultyThe class timing is from 8 am to 4 pm. Faculty are very good, helpful and cooperative. Best experience and exposure.

We can do 6 months paid internships in ITC, Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Accor and much more. Starting salary for MT program is INR 18,000 per month and for OT program it is INR 10,000 per month.
Fees and ScholarshipINR 2,30,000 per annum is the course fees. No scholarships are awarded to students. Fees are not very high and are easily payable.
