During the first phase of the campus placements, students from different departments (Engineering, MBA, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Media and other programs) received over 4000 job offers. Students from the Engineering department were able to grab dream jobs and lucrative packages in Top MNC’s such as Amazon, Microsoft, SAP Labs, VMWare, HP, Deloitte, Cognizant, Sapient, Hitachi, Practo Technologies, Flipkart, Gwynniebee India, Zomato.Com, L&T, TAFE, John Deere, Schindler, Deepak Nitrate. Whereas, the Department of Management saw an upward trend with domain-specific companies in banking and insurance, retail, FMCG, Business Analytics, manufacturing and hospitality sectors with the highest package being INR. 14 LPA.

Hospitality students got the global opportunities to be placed at World’s happiest place – Walt Disney. Amongst the selected 47 students, the highest number of students (23) belong to the field of Hotel Management, 13 were selected from Airlines & Tourism Department, 9 from BBA and 2 from B.Com. Aviation sector placements saw massive growth with airlines such as Vistara, Jet Airways & Indigo. Animation students grabbed lucrative positions in Prime Focus and Cognizant.

Chandigarh University has a huge campus. In the case of B.Tech/ B.Arch program, admission is done on the basis of JEE Main Paper I /JEE Main Paper II or NATA score, respectively. Similarly, for ME/ M.Arch, candidates must have a recent valid score of GATE. For MBA program, a candidate must have a valid score of either one of the following: CAT/ MAT / GMAT. For Ph.D. courses, CU-Ph.D.

Entrance Test is conducted by the university although CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GATE/ GPAT or SLET qualified candidates can also apply for admission. Upon shortlisting on the basis of submitted scores, they will have to go through Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. These rounds will decide the final selection of the candidate.

For my course BSC MEDICAL and other undergraduate programs, completion of 10+2 level of education is a must with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
