I have gotten multiple internships through the institute and all of them have paid well. All kinds of companies from tech startups to global financial giants come to the institute. The average salary is around INR 10lpa and highest often goes beyond INR 1crore.

19 hostels, 15 boys hostels, and 4 girls hostels. Hostel fees are INR 22650 per semester. Most students are mandated to stay in the hostel. Food is decent and mess food is included in the hostel fees. Quality of classrooms is very good and labs and library have wonderful facilities with massive research budgets to help prosper the researchers.

The student must have qualified to JEE advanced and should apply for the course through counseling. The person should score good in JEE advanced, typical closing rank is around 3000

The work-life balance is good most classes are over by 2 pm and some labs run from 2 am to 5 pm, but that is only once or twice a week. IIT Madras is one of the premier institutes in the country. Academics are world class and the facilities you get here are beyond ordinary. The professors are among the best in the world in their individual fields and the institute gives you an opportunity to work with the elite in the world and learn from them.

Salary structure depends upon the parental income and category. Scholarship options are available for people in SC/ST Category and sufficient scholarship is available for others. There is MCM scholarship also available. For all who end up needing loans, they are available through SBI BANK in the campus.

For all possible interests that a person can have there is already a student society existing in the institute. There is annual tech fest and a cultural fest which are among the best in the world along with various fests in individual departments as well. The college life is really engaging and enjoyable this let's a person grow.
