I interned at Saint Gobain at Item research park. Spend was 15000 per month. For it department, even Facebook and Google hire. For us, average salary is about 9 lakh per annum. The senior I know got 14 lakh at Rovigo.
Fees and Scholarships
B.Tech + M.Tech Tuition fees at IIT Chennai presently 66000 per year of your income is less than 4 lakh per annum (or 5 I don't know). And it is 2 lakh per annum otherwise. There are sc, St scholarship and MCM scholarship which many students may be one third got. Fit that your income needs to be less than 5 lakh per annum I guess. Loans can be easily availed at SBI inside the campus.
Clubs and Associations
Shastra is a technical festival. Saarang is the cultural festival. There are many technical and literary clubs. College life is best. No restrictions for going out of campus and coming back. You can go at whatever time you want.
