Placements and Internships
Last semester I did my internship on soft ferrite core at a company called EPCOS under TDK. Maximum IT company visits our campus. The range is quite diverse depending on the type of company. While SRM says 70-80% gets placed. Our alumni network is quite strange and many of our college students are doing their masters on Tor ranking universities like MIT and Standford.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are 16 boys hostels and one 15 floors girls hostel. Hostel fee starts from INR 1.2L and maximum of INR 2L Living in PGs and apartment, outside hostels are really good and cost effective Food is not good in the hostel, it costs about 100rs/plate. Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls, Wi-Fi and other key infrastructure is ok but not very good
Entrance Exams and Admissions
As such there is no eligibility criteria to get admitted into SRM University. Yeah but you need to write the SRM JEE and need to get more than 65% in science subjects in respective boards exams to get into the merit list. I took SRMJEE. There is no cutoff as such, but you get to apply for a particular branch till the seat last.
Academics and Faculty
Classes are quite tiring, it starts at 8am and ends at 5pm, and like other private colleges, students life at SRM University is also full of exam and assignments 2 internal exams and the end semester exam and uncountable number of assignments. We have both good and bad teacher based on their teaching skills. Not that good.
Fees and Scholarships
The tuition fee is 2.75L. Students get a scholarship based on their SRMJEE ranking. Students also get scholarship based on semester ranking. 100 students per department.
Clubs and Associations
SRM holds many clubs which participate in national and international competitions. It's a great opportunity for students to learn. Apart from departmental fears our college have 2 main fests, AARUSH 2nd largest tech. fest in India and other one is Milan which is cultural fest. It's good

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 60% of the intermediate score is the major eligibility criteria. The only entrance exam for admission in this college is SRMJEE. around 220marks are must to get qualified in SRMJEE.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The basic eligibility criteria to join SRMIST is you must have at least scored 65% aggregate in PCM in your 12th class. Secondly, you have to write the entrance exam conducted by SRM known as SRMJEEE. The cutoff marks cannot be predicted. However, if you get the counselling call letter and your rank falls in top 50%ile of the total students called then there are healthy chances that you'll get any desired branch.
