Laurent Omondi's Review on DTU - Delhi Technological University

Almost 90% of eligible students get placed in leading tech companies. Starting with the highest package, Google has offered 1 crore to students of DTU. With the good number of companies which visit the university each and every year, students are assured of being placed.

The facilities in the hostels are amazing. Security is well maintained. Clean environment. The WiFi connection is good in all rooms. Each hostel has its own separate mess (dining halls). The fee for the hostels per month is 3500 rupees and for the mess is 2200 but there's an option to pay per meal which cost roughly 60 rupees since it depends whether it's veg or non-veg food.

The admission was based on the JEE Main exam marks and graded. Minimum aggregate marks is 50% in physics, mathematics and chemistry. English is another core subject to pass in order to find a sit-in DTU. The age range allowed to be able to gain admission into DTU is 17-25.

The everyday learning process is governed by a timetable system. Classes start as early as 8.00 am in the morning to 6.00 pm. The university has very talented, committed lectures who are as well qualified hence the quality of education is per. Exams are conducted every semester, both mid-semester and end semester examination.

For the first year, the fees stand at about INR 1.5 lakhs per annum. For students whose parental income is less than INR 6 lakhs per annum get a fee waiver. It involves online application, verification of documents and interviewing of parents whenever necessary. Loans are available and SBI Bank avails this services to the students.

Each year in February there's the annual Engifest which is one of the biggest in North India. Sports festivals are also conducted within the university and it registers a large number of participants. There are numerous clubs and societies in the university with almost every department with its own club or society. Students are advised to not only join but also to participate in at least two of the clubs. Life in Delhi technological university is one of the best.
