Placements and Internships
The internships available are from pretty good companies. College can give you a recommendation but does not guarantee an internship. You can try for HP, Infosys, TCS for internships. The stipend depends on company to company and varies from INR 5000 to 12000 per month. After graduation and placement, the average package of an IT graduation is INR 3.2 lakh per annum. SRM tries it's best to get their students placed with a very high placement rate.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
The facilities available on campus are really good. With a really fast WiFi and huge library for all the students to access. The quality of the classrooms is also great with certain blocks having A/C in their classrooms while the others being converted soon. College also has a big auditorium with regular cultural events.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
A student has got 60% of marks in his/her 12th Board. One also has to write SRMJEEE entrance exam. Once all the criteria are met you will be invited for an interview and you will be given a list of courses for which you are eligible based on your rank. Typical cut off for B.Tech IT is 60-70%.
Academics and Faculty
On an average there are 7 lectures per day with 2 mid semester exams followed by a model exam and the final semester exam. The quality of teaching is pretty good and we are able to understand the concepts pretty easily. The experience in college is really good.
Fees and Scholarships
The course fees depend on which course have you opted for. Generally, the fees start at INR 1,10,000 per annum. There are various scholarships available based on your academics or sports. There are loans available and can be easily applied for via the college administration office.
Clubs and Associations
There are two main events in SRM - Aaruush and Milan. There are national events which are conducted on the campuses and colleges from various parts of India come to participate there. The events are managed by students and they are having a great experience. Apart from these two main events, there are regular department events where various departments can participate in them.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1. The minimum eligibility criteria for every candidate with normal fee structure was 75 percantage in maths ,physics and chemistry, then depending on your srmjee rank and availability of seats for every branch , the candidate must obatin a seat in their favourite branch, with all this parameters . 2. To get an admission one must take SRMJEE. 3. There is no typical cutoffs for this course.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Inorder to get admission u need to apply for entrance exam, u are asked to attend entrance exam in nearby centre. SRMU entrance exam yes there is cutoff's based on that only they are selecting candidates but it may vary based on candidates appeared for the exam.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1) Eligibility criteria:-aggregate in pcm should be more than 65% combined . Admission procedure are usually based on the score of an individual in SRMJEE exam. 2) I took SRMJEE and based on score became an IT student in SRM. 3) Cutoffs usually differ for each year . If the SRMJEE rank of an individual is between 1-1000, they easily get CS . IT:-1000-22000 Software:-22000-33000

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Srmjee was the exam we took to get into SRM and 65% in boards was required to get into SRM even after qualifying the examination.
