Placements and Internships
I have not done any internships yet but would be surely doing so in the future in the 2nd year of college. Major corporations like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Hewlett Packard, Mahindra, Samsung etc have provided campus placements to students and the average salary offer per annum is INR 5 lakhs and the highest salary offer for 2016 was INR 24 lakhs. 20-30% of students get campus placements. The alumni of the University are now working in many sectors as officials, army personnel, Managers and delegates abroad.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria for my course was a minimum of 55% marks in class 12th. The admissions were held online as well as offline through the university offices in different cities. I took the JEE MAIN entrance exam. The cutoff is 55% for BA+LLB.
Academics and Faculty
Classes begin at 9:30 am for all and end at the scheduled time. 2 projects for every subject per semester excluding the presentations are to be done by the students. The staffs are very good and qualified. I had a great experience in the college.
Fees and Scholarships
The course fee per year at Chandigarh University is INR 70,000. Scholarships are provided for SC, ST, OBC, families of defence personnel, and for students scoring high marks in college. All those who apply need to provide the required documents. Loans can be acquired from HDFC and SBI banks. The university also provides study loans.
