Ruchit Jain's Review on Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Roorkee

Have 8 months of work experience in an IT Industry. I worked at Accenture Solutions Pvt. Ltd for a Telecom Client. I used to receive INR 29000 in hand including all the allowances. Now Pursuing MBA from IIT Roorkee with dual specialization in Finance and Marketing.

There are on an average of 8 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. Hostel fee is included in the curriculum fees and nothing is charged over hand. Only INR 16000 mess fees is charged and the quality of food is above average. Classrooms, labs and with the Asia's biggest library provides students with all round development.

The cutoff varies every year and one should have scored at least 70% in the 12th class.

Classes commences from 9 am to 5 pm and different sessions are organised by the various committees after the regular classes. Quality at IIT Roorkee is at par excellence with so much to learn and so much to explore ourselves. 

Per semester fees is INR 2.34 lakhs. Scholarships for the enrolled students are available in almost all the field, you just need to have a proper cause. Loan facilities are available inside the college premises itself. SBI and Punjab National Bank sponsors the loan for the students.

There are a number of Clubs and committees in the college. We have 3 main events Avenir- Business Summit Thomson- Cultural Fest And Cognizance- Technical Fest.
