Placements and Internships
- I have done an internship for 2 months at INCAP Limited.
- Google, Microsoft are the key companies visiting BITS Pilani.
- The average salary figure is Rs 6.5-7 lakhs per annum and the highest salary figure is Rs 58 lakhs per annum.
- 90% of the students get placed(I think not sure)
- Many talks happen with Successful Alumni
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- 8 hostels are there at BITS Pilani.The fee is Rs 12000 per semester.
- No idea about the PG option.
- The cost of the meal is Rs 112 per day. The quality of food is average.
- The quality of classroom is good. Labs are average.
- Library is one of the best.
- Dining Hall is Good.
- WiFi(LAN) facility is poor at our college.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria are to have Physics, Chemistry, Maths in secondary school with minimum 60% in each subject
- Th entrance examination to be taken is BITSAT to get BITS Pilani.
- The typical cutoff was around 317 in 2014.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is up to us. No mandatory attendance is required.
- The quality and method of teaching are good. We can select teachers ourselves.
- The overall experience is not bad at BITS Pilani.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is around Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum. It will increase every year around 12-15% due to inflation.
- Scholarship options are there but on the basis of merit and on the basis of family income (Merit Cum Need) If family income is less than Rs 6 lakhs per annum.
- About more than 50 % of students get a scholarship, I think at BITS. Not sure.
- Loans are up to you. State Bank of Hyderabad which is located inside the campus provide loan.
Clubs and Associations
- An uncountable number of student societies are there at BITS Pilani.
- The main festivals on the campus are ATMOS(technical), ARENA(sports), PEARL(cultural)
- Cannot describe the life in the college. To understand the feeling you must come to Campus and see for yourself.
