- Alumni network is poor.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The hostel facility is awesome.
- The hostel life is beyond one's imagination from the Wifi to food and festivities, everything is amazing.
- There are totally 12 hostels two of which are only for girls.
Academics and Faculty
- The academic management deserves more than 10 out of 10.
- The quality of teaching can be given 8.5/10, as there are very good proffesors but some are really bad.
- Overall my experience in the college is fabulous.
Fees and Scholarships
- The annual college fees is Rs. 63,000.
- Scholarship options are mcm for General/OBC almost free for others.
- 25% of the General/OBC get full fee waiver.
- Loans are available in Canara and SBI Bank.

The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995.At present the Institute has nine departments covering all the major engineering and science disciplines, offering B. Tech., B. Des., M. Academics & Faculty : Academic Schedule Three classes a day from Monday to Friday. Labs of three subject once in a week. Regarding Projects, currently I m working on a stellite project in summers. We have two quizzes, a mid-sem and an end-sem exam. Choice of courses A lot of couses in different disciples of Engineering are availabe. In fact, IIT guwahati is the first one to have a Design course in Bachelors degree among all IITs. Quality of teaching Good Enough ! Professors accessibility Professors are easily available. You just have to mail them or call them or just walk into their cabins.
