Entrance Exams and Admissions

Eligibilty for B. Tech is PUC or Diploma completion * I'm a Diploma-based candidate admitted through DCET exam * Other common entrance exams are also allowed ex-KCET, JEE, NEET etc. * And you can also admit through the PESSAT exam conducted by PES UNIVERSITY, BANGALORE. * My rank is about 211 in DCET Exam * Through DCET cutoff is about 4000 for Mechanical Engg Branch.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : PES University admits 50 percent of students based on PESSAT, an all India exam conducted yearly while the rest 40 percent are admitted based on KCET rank. The remaining 10 percent seats are reserved for management quota. I got admission in the mechanical branch through KCET. The cutoff rank for students applying through PESSAT is as follows: Computer Science it is 900-1100, Electronics and Communication it is 1500-1600, Mechanical it is 1800-2000, Electrical it is 1900-2100, Biotechnology it is 2000-2500, Civil it is round 3000.
