The NCHMCT JEE exam day guidelines and instructions must be followed by each of you on the exam day. It is some of the important particulars that yu must follow strictly, such as dress code, things to carry, things to avoid on the exam day and in the exam centre as well. The NTA (National Testing Agency) will conduct the entrance exam across 91 exam centres in India. The NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam will be conducted in April 2026.

The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national-level entrance exam for hospitality. It is conducted for candidates planning to pursue a career in the hospitality and hotel industry. It is a three-hour exam. You have to solve 200 MCQs. The marking scheme follows +4 for every correct answer and -1 for the negative answers. 

Documents to Carry on NCHMCT JEE 2026 Exam Day

NCHMCT JEE Dress Code

There is no specific dress code mentioned by NTA. Although, it is advisable to check the official website of NTA and the admit card instructions for any such rules and regulations. You should also strictly avoid wearing smart watches, belts, and goggles. The advisable dress code for NCHMCT JEE is mentioned below.

  • Female Candidates: Casual wear. Avoid wearing jewelry/metallic items.
  • Male Candidates: Casual wear. Avoid wearing accessories.

NCHMCT JEE Exam Day Instructions

You must read and follow the pre-exam guidelines, rules, and regulations to ensure a hassle-free and smooth entry into the examination hall. Listed below are some important guidelines to be followed on the exam day:

  • Reach the exam center at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time
  • The admit card should be duly filled as per the instructions mentioned
  • Remember the lab/room number given to the students at the entry gate
  • You should only carry ID Card, admit card, a pen, 2 photographs, a water bottle, and a hand sanitizer

  • A4 size sheets are provided inside the exam hall for rough work
  • You have to affix your photographs on the attendance sheet
  • There will be a security check at the exam hall before entering the hall
  • The exit and entry of the candidates are in an orderly manner
  • You have to hand over your rough sheets to the invigilator
  • You should strictly not be involved in any unfair means. If caught, you may be debarred from the NCHMCT JEE exam for the entire term
