B.Tech [Bachelor of Technology] Details

VIT Pune B.Tech course offers nine specialisations across disciplines such as Chemical Engineering, and other. These courses are offered in different formats, and students can also opt for integrated courses with M.Tech, MBA, or doctorate courses.

Admission to these courses is based on the JEE Main/MHT CET scores. Upon the counselling, the seats are allocated to students at VIT Pune. JEE Main Session 2 results were announced on April 28, 2023. MHT CET examination results will be declared on June 12, 2023.

VIT Pune B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

VIT Pune B.Tech's eligibility criteria are that students must pass their 10+2 examinations with 45% in aggregate from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as their compulsory subjects. Some seats are reserved for students belonging to Maharashtra. VIT Pune will also consider the JEE Main/MHT CET scores for admission.  

VIT Pune B.Tech Admission

Admission to the VIT Pune BTech course based on the CET scores. However, students with merit scores in JEE Main/MHT CET can also apply for admission to VIT Pune B.Tech. 

Application Procedure

Students seeking admission to VIT Pune must apply through the official website. When the application portal opens, students can apply for JEE Main/ MHT CET and appear for the entrance exam. Based on the scores, the seat is allotted to students. Students who have appeared in JEE Main/MHT CET can apply for direct admission based on their scores.

At the time of admission, students are required to present a few important documents. The list of these documents is given below. 

• Marksheet and Certificate of 10th and 12th.
• JEE Main/MHT CET mark sheet.
• Migration certificate in case of students coming from other boards from other states.
• Transfer certificate
• Nativity certificate
• Photo id proof such as Adhaar Card
• Passport sizes pictures
• Proof of income of parents
• Caste and Category certificates, if any

The VIT Pune B.Tech fee has been updated for this new session, and the fees for the course start at 4.8 Lakhs, which includes the tuition fee. The fee is different for different specialisations.
