Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology was set up in Pune Maharastra by the Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust in 2002. The trust which was established in 1975 undertakes various religious, educational, and social activities. The trust adopted the name, Vishwakarma, to develop Engineers who can take up challenging jobs in the technical field.
VIIT has an ISO 9001:2015 certification. It is affiliated to SPPU which was earlier known as the University of Pune. It is an Autonomous college that is accredited by NAAC. It was awarded as ‘Outstanding Engineering Institute West Zone’. The institution aims to provide the students with practical knowledge in the field of Engineering and Technology.
It encourages students to take part in various cultural and sports activities. VIIT Pune provides Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate programs in the field of Engineering. Most of them are accredited by NBA. The various departments of the college help students in finding internships. They also have experienced and educated faculties to impart knowledge. The college has a central library which has a large collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and periodicals. It offers a photocopy service and a reading room. The college provides medical facilities inside the campus to the students.
The college has a canteen that serves quality food at a nominal rate. Coffee shops and a fruit stall is also made available on the campus. VIIT has a campus communication center that provides laser printing, photocopying, binding, mobile recharge, and courier facilities.
The college has a bank and 2 ATM centers of Oriental Bank of Commerce and Suvarnayug Sahakari Bank Ltd. It also provides hostel facilities to the students. The college also has spacious grounds for outdoor sports. It has indoor game facilities too.
The college encourages co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The students take part in various cultural activities. The college organizes a social gathering which is known as Gandharva. It also encourages students to take part in sports activities.
A national Level technical event known as 'Perception' is conducted by the college every year. The college also has an NSS wing. Various activities like blood donation camps, tree plantation, etc are organized by them. The college has also adopted Jamgaon-Disli village. The NSS volunteers render their services in educating the people, providing solar energy for street light, constructing toilets, and providing biogas plant to the villagers.
VIIT Pune has an Entrepreneurship Development Cell that provides mentorship to students interested in starting their own venture. The college has a competitive exam guidance club that provides books for exams like UPSC, MPSC, etc.
Seminars, workshops, and lectures are organized by the different departments of the college. Students are also provided training to improve their English language. Lectures on Ethical Values are conducted throughout the year.

The admission to the Engineering course is as per the directions issued by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of Govt. of Maharastra. The candidates should fill the application form online after checking the eligibility criteria. The necessary details need to be filled and the relevant documents are to be uploaded. The selected students will be called for verification purposes.
The college provides accommodation to the students. The VIIT facilities include a separate hostel for boys and girls. There are two hostels for girls and one for boys. 70% of the student got placed in the course of Instrumentation and Control engineering. The lowest package is 5 lakh and the highest is 12 lakh. Top recruitment occurs for Honeywell and Emerson. As per the internship, 10% of students get from my course and the companies were Siemens, Honeywell, and Emerson. The top roles offered are Process instrument engineer, Control Engineer, and Project Engineer.

Electronics and telecommunication engineering is one of the fastest-growing branches in engineering and Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology has been growing rapidly. Most of the important and well known IT companies hire from Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology and the average salary goes up to 5 lacs and highest salary can even go up to 30 lacs.

Faculty members are very experienced. The professors have their own technique of teaching. Students have to compete for two modules every year. One module for each semester. Class time for morning shift is from 8 am to 2 pm. For afternoon shift class time is 12 am to 6 pm.
College InfrastructureThere are two hostels, separately for girls and boys. Hostels are 1km away from college campus Near upper depot. Bus stop. PGs and other options like Flats etc are available. Rent is around INR 2500 per month.

Yes, the college has good internships scenario. Most of the students get internships in good MNC companies and also got some stipend amount with nice experience. Very good placements. As our college is Autonomous, so most of the companies visited. Cummins, Zensar, Varog, Bajaj, Wipro, etc. The package offers up to INR 8 Lpa It has strong alumni network and it is building day by day. Every year there is alumni gathering in college. They will guide you for your future growth and career opportunities.
