Helming as a prestigious university, RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, provides a learning experience that has produced leaders across various sectors. But a lingering thought remains about the program fees it charges. The facilities at the college are at par with its counterparts.

Robust Course Curriculum

RV College of Engineering offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. Students can choose from various departments or fields according to their interests. One undergraduate, two postgraduate, and one research degree are offered.

For any university, apart from its course structure, the next focal point is the quality of faculties. RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, only onboards highly qualified and capable faculties. They are dedicated to their teaching and are very helpful to the students. They also welcome the student’s doubts to be resolved with utmost sincerity. Students are pretty content with their academics.

Focus Towards Research

From the beginning, RV College of Engineering has been keen on forwarding and developing its research capabilities. It has independently filed several patents, which have been granted. The core concept of RVCE for research aligns with industry demands and requirements. Thereby increasing the exposure of students as well. 

In 2023 alone, so far, nine patents have been filed. Among these, six have been published, and eight patents have been granted. This is a considerable feat for RV College of Engineering. It shows the true dedication to excel in research and findings.

Superior Infrastructure

RV College of Engineering has invested in its infrastructure thoroughly to provide an exemplary experience. Each department has unique labs, machines, and other technical equipment. The campus is spread over 16.85 acres. Special care has been taken for the specially-abled people. The campus is installed with ramps and lifts at various locations. 

The classrooms are entirely digitized with smart classes. The rooms are spacious and have good WiFi connectivity. RVCE has a faultless IT infrastructure. It has a computer lab with Microsoft licensing and a digital media centre.

Almost every department has a seminar hall of its own. It has 13 seminar halls and ICT facilities for regular national and international conferences. The campus also has an auditorium of its own to host a plethora of events. 

RV College of Engineering has a central library that hosts print and e-books, online and print journals, bound volumes, and encyclopedias. The RVCE library is also complete with OPAC and other services.

RV College of Engineering has a one-of-a-kind Digital Media Centre. It was inaugurated in the year 2019. The faculties mainly use it to explore new media opportunities. It is mainly used for recording video lectures and animation, photography, graphics, and more. It is housed in a soundproof room. The Lecturing Capturing Facility (LCF) helps record lectures by the faculty that can be shared later with the students. RV College of Engineering campus is not just restricted to the above facilities, it also has a hygienic food court for students and staff that can cater to up to 1,000 people. Apart from the central food court, a small canteen has been built on the opposite end of the food court, so that students and staff do not have to hassle with food. 

RVCE transportation facilities are available to both students and staff. Since the college is located far from the city centre and the suburbs, it ensures to cover a few bus routes. A bank and a post office facility are available to process the fees and other official work.

RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, has minimal sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games. Given the number of students at the college, the sports facilities must be increased to cater to most students

Numerous Awards and Recognition

Since its establishment in 1963, RV College of Engineering has received several awards. It has been ranked 2nd for Technical Institutions by the World Bank-supported TEQIP. It has also been ranked 1st by Outlook for Return on Investment (ROI) / Value for Money for students. Apart from these, it has nearly 50 more achievements to its name from the government of India and other independent organizations.

Standard Hostel Facilities

RV College of Engineering provides hostel facilities for both girls and boys. Though the hostel facilities cannot be termed as having the best amenities, they are comfortable for day-to-day activities and living. The RVCE has four hostel blocks for the students; these are:

• Sir M. Visweswaraya block- For final year U.G. and P.G. students
• Cauvery block- For second and third-year U.G. students and first, Second and third-year P.G. students
• Chamundi block- First-year U.G. students
• Cauvery Annex block- First-year U.G. students

While the girl's hostel is off campus, the entire boy's hostel is at the RVCE campus. The mess facilities are available for every student. 

There is no single occupancy available for the students for accommodation. Each room is of a sharing type. The following basic amenities are available for the students on the first occupancy:

• Bedding including cot/bed
• Bucket and mug

Electronic items such as heating coils, iron boxes, tape recorders and more are prohibited in hostel rooms or premises. The annual hostel fees, including the medical, mess and medical charges, are INR 1,23,000.

Hefty Course Fees

RV College of Engineering, Bangalore programme fees do not sit easily on the pockets. The students are willing to pay such amounts, considering it provides good academic facilities and placement offers. 

Despite expensive course fees, students still choose RV College of Engineering since the facilities provided to the students are unmatched. The Return on Investment is high, so the investment equals it in the long run. 

RVCE also provides a few scholarships to the students on a merit and financial basis. However, compared to fees, the scholarships awarded are insufficient.

High Placement Record

RV College of Engineering has a whooping 95% placement rate. Almost all the students get placed at RVCE during the placement season. The college has a dedicated placement team which looks after all the activities of placements, including training sessions.

In the year 2023 itself, around 225 companies visited and around 963 offers were made. The highest CTC offered for undergraduate programmes was INR 62 LPA, and for postgraduate was 29.77 LPA.

A Cultural Melting Pot

RV College of Engineering admits students from all parts of the country and international students. Students experience an amalgamation of various cultures. The campus is also people-centric and has installed provisions for specially-abled people. RVCE organizes an annual techno-cultural fest for its students. Various activities in the fields of arts, photography, technology, etc. are organized. 

No college is complete without its student-led clubs. At RVCE, students can participate in racing, dance, debate, etc clubs. Each club’s lead or captain and its associated members are responsible for organizing events related to the clubs to enhance students' experience and participation.

The day-to-day students’ life on campus is rigorous. They are focused on completing their coursework on time. Though it sounds hectic, this discipline and work only aid in building a solid mindset in the long run.

RV College of Engineering does not follow any strict dress code or uniform nor does it have stringent rules and regulations for its students. It has very safe and secure campus where students can thrive unrestricted.
