Scholarship and Prizes

Every year in October, Delhi University runs a competitive examination for the award of All India scholarships of Rs 250 per month for three years to students of BA (Hons) and B.Sc (Hons). Desirous students may apply with an examination fee of Rs. 50 at the University of Delhi's examination branch. Applicants may obtain additional information from the college office.

Scholarship to ST/SC Students

Candidates from Scheduled Castes/Tribes receive scholarships from the states to which they belong. Such students are urged to get application forms from the accounts section as soon as they are admitted and to submit the duly filled, along with the necessary certificates. Only students who submit their applications on time are considered for Maitreyi College Delhi scholarships. The continuation of any freeship, scholarship, or other benefit is contingent on adequate academic progress, regular attendance, discipline, and good behaviour. Every stipend recipient is required to follow the college's norms and regulations.

Academic Prizes

• Prizes are awarded to the college topper each course year, provided the aggregate is 55% or above.
• Radha Sairam Memorial Award to the best student of Chemistry (Hons) in 1st year.
• Durga Devi Memorial Prize to the best student of Chemistry (Hons) in 2nd year.
• O.P. Datta Memorial Prize to the best student of Physics (Hons) in all 3 years.
• Dr. (Mrs.) Sita Srivastva Memorial Award of Rs 11,000, along with a trophy, will be given to the best all-rounder student from 3rd year.
