The first process of my PGDM course was to write a Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs on a rotational basis, mostly in the last week of November. The eligibility criteria for the course is as follows:

  • The candidates must have cleared bachelor's programme with a minimum 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions.
  • Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
  • All candidates seeking admission to LBSIM will be required to appear in the common admission test/ graduate management admission test score.

The cutoffs for the CAT exam ranges between 80-85 percentile, and for the GMAT exams, the score ranges between 650-700.

After getting shortlisted, the candidates have to appear for the GD-PI-WAT round. The management will have the final selection based on the overall process.

  • The interview is conducted by a diverse faculty panel comprising of teachers from all courses such as marketing, finance, HR, operations, IT, etc. They interviewed me on topics such as graduation, current events, general knowledge, etc.
  • I took the CAT entrance examination.
