Placements & Internships : I'm doing my internship at Getmyuni. We have a stipend ranging from INR 6,000 per month to INR 60,000 per month. Companies from all major fields offer internships across all roles like digital marketing, financial sales, data analysis, etc. We have companies such as Britannia, Marico, Asian Paints, BigBasket, etc., offering internships for students. We also have an extremely strong and interactive alumni network. They are always glad to connect to and approachable. We also have regular seminars and talks with prominent alumni who share their experiences and trials in the field.

Fees & Scholarships : Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, [LBSIM] New Delhi Fee Structure. The entire course fee is about INR 11 Lakh. There are various scholarship options such as meri-cum-means scholarship and central sector schemes, and the deserving students can avail themselves the merit scholarship from economically weaker backgrounds. There is also the Lalita Shastri scholarship and the Tessy Thomas scholarship. On average, 12 students get the merit scholarship, while the other students can get scholarships based on eligibility criteria. Loans are available for those in need. They can be availed from reputed banks at an average of 10%-14% rate of interest.

Academics & Faculty : Classes start from 9:30 in the morning and can stretch up to 5:15 in the evening. They are generally of 1 and a half hours duration. Due to Covid-19, the classes are online on Microsoft Teams. Since there is a greater weightage on internals, there are individual assignments and a group assignment to be completed along with quizzes and random tests. Each subject in every trimester has a final group assignment. There is a mid-term examination of multiple-choice questions of 20 marks. The faculty has experienced teachers with practical and up-to-date knowledge. There are guest lecturers who frequently visit us as well. The overall college experience is amazing.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The hostels are situated within 3km of the institute. The hostels are situated in Sector 8 and Sector 7 (Ramphal Chowk), and the rooms are available on a twin-sharing basis. Each room has its washroom, AC, geyser. The mess service is in the hostel itself, where you will be given four meals - breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The food is vegetarian. Eggs are available in the institute cafeteria. The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure and a fully air-conditioned building in Dwarka, New Delhi. They provide bus services free of cost. The campus offers excellent infrastructural facilities and is equipped with an auditorium, having a capacity of 300 people, a huge library spanning two floors and an open-air theatre.    

Clubs & Associations : There are multiple academic and non-academic clubs in LBSIM and various committees like placement cell, alumni cell, corporate interface cell, the management grid, etc. Each club hosts its events and festivities, and there are crossovers too. The annual fest is Tatva. The clubs are not exclusive associations but learning grounds for students passionate about investing or dancing.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The candidates should obtain a minimum of 50% in their graduation. Students in the final year of graduation can apply as well. The PGDM general course in LBSIM has a rigorous selection process. It comprises scores from competitive examinations like CAT and GMAT, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT), group discussion and personal interview. The WAT might be switched with an extempore. The group discussion is on a wide variety of topics such as business news, abstract topics, etc. My GD topic was about leaders and their making. The interview is conducted by a diverse faculty panel comprising of teachers from all courses such as marketing, finance, HR, operations, IT, etc. They interviewed me on topics such as graduation, current events, general knowledge, etc. I took the CAT entrance examination. The LBSIM PGDM general has a cut-off of 80 percentile as minimum marks for general candidates and 60 percentile for corporate-sponsored students.
