Placements & Internships : I can’t mention the entire placement figures at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, but I can tell you that my entire batch was recently placed with an average package of around Rs. 9.8 Lakh PA with companies like Amazon, LAVA International, Deloitte, ITC Infotech, and others of the same league.

Academics & Faculty : The faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (which are all from old IIMs or colleges like Harvard and Kellog's) is much interested in teaching you and they would go out of their way to help you in case required for any projects or anything at all for that matter. One of the most important things I would like to highlight here would be that B.Tech and M.Tech students of IIT Kanpur are allowed to attend our classes and they do form an important part of our coursework. Also, we are allowed to opt for their courses and this exchange is really beneficial in more than one ways. They surely bring different opinions to our class and their ideas are worth a discussion and implementation, during our projects.

Fees & Scholarships : To be honest, while taking the admission at IIT Kanpur, I had offers from few other B-schools as well. Most of them being rated above than my current institute. But once I talked to the seniors and people who graduated from this place, I made up my mind to join here. The fees being an important parameter in my case since I didn’t have to take a loan to study at this place. 

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : While I was giving multiple interviews last year, I rushed to many a B-schools for the same. The only word I could say when I joined IIT Kanpur, was “Perplexed” by the infrastructure and facilities the government provides us, at minimal cost. There are the internet connection and sports facilities including swimming, squash, badminton courts, and table tennis etc is accessible to all the students, without any discrimination.

Clubs & Associations : A various number of clubs and societies managed by students which are funded by Indian Institute of Technology, a Kanpur admin. College is quite famous for the numerous festivals that are conducted round the year. There are various hostel events and games that are played on regular basis. Apart from the zillion national level competitions, there are two main festivals conducted round the year 'Anataragini' the cultural festival is held in the month of October while 'Techkriti', annual festival takes place in early February.
