Basically college ensures a much-secured future in our job life. Proper grooming and training are arranged for us that we can crack the job interviews. In the case of food technology, a various company such as Dream bake, ITC, Parle Agro, Keventer, etc companies are the main recruitments where students are mainly getting job roles like quality control, production manager etc. After around 2 years of work experience, the student may appear good and better options to settle.
Training and placement department works as a connecting bridge between industries and academic students. The department helps in year-round technical and professional development of the students. Various orientation programmes and mock interviews are organised. Initiatives are also taken to develop the aoft skills of the students.
GNIT has a good record on placements. Many big IT companies like Genpact, Cognizent, SAP LAB etc hire students from our college. Companies from food manufacturing sectors like Kventer Agro Pvt.Ltd, Mio-Amore, Ganesh etc also come to recruit students from the Department of Food Technology. The average salary for freshers is good. Students can also get both paid & Unpaid internships from Training & Placement cell.

The leading companies from all sectors are invited by the Placement Department in the campus, where the eligible students are facilitated to go through the entire selection process. The entire process is governed by the student's ability and performance, as well as the requirements and norms of the Industry. The Cell also organizes special aptitude and soft skill classes to make the students interview ready.
I have applied for 3 internships guided by our faculty and I got a positive reply from a company. Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, TCS, CTS, Amazon, Wipro, and Pinnacle are the top companies that are visiting campus placements for the last 5 years.
The average salary offered is INR 3-4 lakhs per annum with the highest package of INR 7 lakhs per annum.
Almost 70% of students got a job through campus placements.
The alumni network of the college is very good. The members of the alumni are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Students earn good amount through internships at different organizations all over India.
Generally, the first preference is given to the talent and skills of the individual student and not dependent on percentage and companies like TCS, Wipro and others will recruit with the highest package of 18lakhs. Internships are offered for every student. About 60 to 70% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered is about 8 to 10 LPA, the average salary package offered is 6 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 3 to 5 LPA.

I don't know about salary or placements because I am not in my final year...... The percentage of people getting a job is good...
I haven't attended any internships. BMRC, AMRI, The Calcutta Medical Research Institute, Green View, and Sterling visit campus for placements.

The placement here is something one should keep in mind but in my opinion it's alright. The students are trained to suit the work culture. A number of companies pay visit to the college every year for recruitments.

My last internship was at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata. Internships are given to 96% of students in this college every year. Many are also recruited in jobs every year.
