COEP Admission

College of Engineering Pune admission to various courses is offered based on a merit list created by the college. The engineering subject is covered by COEP Pune courses. The candidate has access to bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate diploma programmes. According to the course requirements, the student must be eligible for and pass GATE and MHT-CET. College of Engineering, Pune admissions will be based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and GATE. The COEP cutoff is determined by the student's performance on the qualifying exam.

COEP admission is based on Maharashtra common entrance exam and GATE. The candidates are then selected on the basis of merit followed by GD and PI.

COEP UG Eligibility Criteria 

COEP Pune eligibility criteria of UG is

  • All B. Tech applicants must have completed an HSC or equivalent test with physics and mathematics as main courses, as well as chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or a technical vocation. Interested candidates must achieve a minimum of 50% (45% for backward category students) in the above disciplines. With a non-zero score in any of the subjects indicated above, the applicant should take the MHT-CET. The applicant's seat number from the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) round has already been registered, and he or she is eligible to participate in the admission round.


Engineering, Management, and Planning master's degree courses are available in a variety of specialities. It's a two-year initiative with a lot of market demand.

The candidate must have minimum 50% marks in HSC exam. The entrance exam is MHT CET but may change to JEE MAIN in coming years but it completely depends on education department of government. The cutoff is generally the cutoff for COEP civil is above 165 out of 200 or a rank below 1000 for general category and 4-5 marks below for OBC category.To be on a safer side you must target above 170 marks.

  • The eligibility for getting admission in College of Engineering is to have a minimum of 65% in the 10th and 12th and those who cleared the cut-off of MHT CET exam.
  • The cutoff varies based on the reservation category for caste since it is a government institute. For open, the cut-off has been 180/200 in the first round and goes to 162/200 in CET by the end of third round, while it reduces to 140/200 for other SC/ST categories.

Eligibility Criteria: HSC pass, with aggregate 35% or above in PCM-Board exams(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), Should have non zero score in MHTCET(Maharashtra Technical Common entrance test).

  • A Good score in the GATE exam was the eligibility criteria
  • I was in sc category thats why my cutoff was comparatively lower than other, and my marks in GATE was 36.25, and the score was 417, this much marks was enough for me to get into coep in my first round.

The eligibility criteria are the state entrance exam which is CET a good score which is above 160/200 is must for admission I gave the CET and scored 170 in it and I got admission in COEP ENTC The cutoff for my course is above 165

The eligibility criteria and admission procedure for my course are fully government online criteria and through CET. MHT CET only not JEE. For CS you need to score above 180. Door mechanical engineering above 160.

The eligibility criteria were that one should clear 12 boards and KCET exam For my course KCET is the required entrance examination. Typically the cutoffs are like 165 for open category.
