COEP, Pune Facilities

College of Engineering, Pune, offers modern facilities to students for a better learning experience. The campus is equipped with a food court, library, accommodation, etc. Further details regarding the COEP infrastructure are listed below.

Chemistry Lab: The department is equipped with the necessary instruments for the chemistry and environmental science laboratory.

Language Lab: COEP campus has a language lab that students and faculty members can use to improve their communication abilities. It has software tools such as Renet Language Studio, ESPOIR Interview Simulator, ESPOIR Spoken English, ESPOIR English via Science and Technology, etc. It also allows students to prepare for various international level tests in Business English, TOFEL, and GRE.

Applied Biology Lab: The COEP has an applied biology department that recently established an Applied Biology laboratory. Undergraduate and postgraduate students can also get hands-on experience in the laboratory by working on short-term projects and practicals. Microbial culture lab, refrigerated centrifuge, PCR, electrochemical workstations, and biosafety cabinets are all available in the lab. The department intends to build a Nano-Biotechnology and Bioengineering facility.

Library: The institute features a well-equipped library that just received an integrated automation system from SLIM 21Ex. It is one of the institute's most important resource centres, serving students and faculty. The COEP library has a diverse collection of books, technical papers, and journals. Many national and international print and online journals covering all disciplines are subscribed. It is a technologically advanced library.

Hostel: The COEP hostel has 1064 boys and 422 girls. It also includes a hostel office, a security room, a three-room guest house, nine rectors' apartments, and the director's residence. The hostel rooms are equipped with a cot, table, chair, and cabinet. The rooms are light and airy, and the grounds are manicured with flora. TV sets and carrom are available in the student common rooms. Water is available for 24 hours. A generator provides electricity to the messes and social areas. Near the dormitory, the college gymkhana ground (about 6.5 acres) is used for cricket, hockey, volleyball, football, tennis, and jogging. The floodlit basketball and tennis courts allow students to play late into the evening. COEP Pune hostel facilities include cleaning of hostel grounds and pest control. Electrical repairs and security services are also available.

Dispensary: COEP campus has a visiting doctor service available, with a separate dispensary block within the hostel grounds. There are separate doctors for boys and girls.

Telephone Booth: COEP College of Engineering Pune facilities include a phone booth with STD/ISD service near H block for the female students. 

Computer Room: College of Engineering Pune campus has a computer lab with 100 machines for boys and girls with 48 Mbps internet access. Every room has access to the internet. In the computer room, various operating systems and platforms are available.

There are two hostels and fee is about INR 20000 per month. The food quality is good. The classrooms are well equipped. Labs are also well organized. There is a central library.

3 hostels for girls and 7 for boys. Hostels are good with a fee of INR 25000 per year which is quite cheap. Food is good and costs Rs.40 per meal. Well structured and maintained labs and classrooms.
