Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test or GPAT 2025 is one of the top Pharmacy entrance exams in India conducted by the National Testing Agency on a national level. GPAT is conducted for admission to M.Pharm courses at universities approved by AICTE in India.
It is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) containing 125 Multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The candidates are given three hours to complete the test.
To be eligible for the GPAT entrance exam candidates must be a citizen of India. They must have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) from any recognized colleges, universities, or institutes from India or abroad.
Candidates who qualify for GPAT can apply to more than 782 participating institutions, offering 39,670 M.Pharm seats.

NIPER JEE
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati, conducts NIPER JEE for admission to M.Pharm, MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm) and Ph.D. programmes in Pharmacy. It is one of the most popularly accepted Pharmacy entrance exams in India 2025.

State governments also conduct entrance exams for Pharmacy in India 2025. The following are some top Pharmacy entrance exams in India conducted at the state level:
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE-Pharmacy)
The WBJEE exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. It allows admission to Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture and other courses across universities, government colleges and self-financing institutions in the state of West Bengal.
Candidates aspiring to gain admission in Pharmacy through WBJEE must be Indian citizens. They must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a 45% minimum aggregate from any recognised board, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as domain subjects.
The WBJEE exam is conducted in an offline mode (using OMR) sheet with a time limit of two hours. Candidates have to answer 155 questions comprising 200 marks where 0.5 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test – Pharmacy (MHT CET)
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is among the top Pharmacy entrance exams in India 2025, although the exam is conducted for B.Tech courses as well. Conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, this exam is conducted in an online mode in English, Urdu and Marathi languages.
The candidates must complete the MHT CET exam within 3 hours or 180 Minutes. It is divided into three sections, namely PCMB, PCB and PCM. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects can apply for this exam

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)
Conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), KCET allows admission to B. Pharma and D. Pharma programmes across colleges in the state of Karnataka. The exam is held in an offline format containing 180 MCQs.

The Department of Technical Education, Goa conducts the Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET) for admission to colleges and universities in the state in several professional degree courses in Pharmacy. It is a pen and paper-based test comprising 225 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Additionally, the exam is divided into three sections namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics where the candidates must answer each section in 120 minutes.

MAHE Entrance Test (MET)
Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education or MAHE offers admission to Pharmacy courses through MAHE MET. It is a computer-based test of 150 minutes duration where the candidates must answer 200 questions.
The exam consists of five sections including, Numericals, General English, Conceptual, General Awareness and Case Studies. Each section comprises 20, 20, 25, 20 and 15 marks respectively.
GITAM Graduate Aptitude Test (GITAM GAT)
The GITAM Graduate Aptitude Test is conducted by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management for numerous courses including, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Computer Design, Machine Design, Food Technology, Electronic Instrumentation and more. The exam is conducted in an online format in English language.
