The CAT 2019 question paper had a total of 100 questions distributed across three sections such as Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Aptitude (QA) and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR).

CAT 2019 Question Paper Analysis
While analysing the CAT 2019 question paper with solutions, it was discovered that the question paper was relatively easy when compared to the complexity level of the previous years’ question papers.

CAT 2019 Question Paper - Slot 1
The slot 1 CAT 2019 question paper was moderate to difficult in terms of complexity with the VARC section being the most difficult section of all the three. The DILR section had more straightforward questions while a few were tricky and application based.
Most of the questions in the QA section were from the expected topics like Arithmetic, Geometry and Mensuration, Numbers, Algebra, Trigonometry and Permutations & Combinations.
CAT 2019 Question Paper - Slot 2
The VARC and DILR sections were a tad bit more difficult when compared to the questions of slot 1 while the QA section in slot 2 had more formula based questions and was easier than slot 1.
The questions which were the most difficult to answer in the RC section was the passage on British colonial policy while the questions of the shooting tournament and mid-term and end-term exams were very difficult in the DILR section.
