Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The eligibility criteria to enter into a Delhi University College is generally merit based. All the courses have merit as their criteria except BMS, BFIA, BBE and some other courses. The cut-offs are generally very high in DU. For subjects like eco hons. and BCom. Hons, cut-offs this year was between 90% to 98% in best of four subjects along with maths in all the colleges of DU.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Daulat Ram College's admission process is like any other Delhi University College's admission process. Common cut offs get released and students seek admission on the basis of those cut offs. You need to score a good percentage in your board examinations to get a good and renowned college of DU. For my course, English Honours, the cut offs are really high because it is one of the most sought after courses.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • There is no entrance exam required for this course as of now. Admission is based on merit score secured in senior secondary board exam. -
  • The cut offs for this course ranges from 93%-99% as in the case of a delhi university. For economics hons. DU is best in terms of opportunities and education. I college in which I secured seat is Daulat ram college. The college is blessed with amazing faculty for economics. Also, it is a part of north campus which adds to its advantages. As of now infrastructure is not good but if you want a good education with dedicated teachers then one should prefer it. Talking about fees so it's definitely not high.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • There was no entrance exam for my course in the college. After our name came in any of the cut-off lists, were given one and a half day to go to the respective college and get our documents verified. The instructions about the number of photos and the number of photocopies of our documents were not stated correctly online which proved to be a problem because it created panic and chaos among the already nervous students. I stayed there for 4 hours, 1 and a half of which I was waiting because my admission was being verified online and the site was crashing. The cut off for B.A. English is usually pretty high every year and this year was no exception. It started from 95-96 in the first cut off. And it was around 93-92 in the second. I took admission in the 2nd cut off.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • The admissions are based on merit.
  • The marks of best four subjects in class 12th are included in calculating the percentage which is then matched to the cut off.
  • To have Maths as a subject is a compulsory while to its optional to include its marks in calculating the best four marks' percentage.
  •  When any science background student or the one without Maths as the subject in class 12th apply for the commerce stream there calculated percentage was reduced by 2% .
  •  There are separate cutoffs for different economic categories and also for students with commerce and science backgrounds. Also, the admissions take place through ECA.
  • For that option, the student has to apply for this option to get admission through the submission of a form.
  • Then the tests are conducted related to the ECA specified followed by an interview and then the ones who clear it are offered admission.
  •  The same goes for the students who opt for sports. So, the eligibility can be assessed on the basis of merit, ECA and Sports depending upon the option we choose while filling registration forms.
  •  There is no entrance examination.
  • The typical cutoff for my course is 95% or above to get into Daulat Ram College, Delhi University.

  • To get admission in a North Campus college of DU is the dream of every child. But at the same time for this, you do need to proof yourself by scoring good marks in 12th and especially when you are a general category people. Thus the eligibility criteria are class 12th with score more than 93%
  • For this particular course, the percentage was 93% at the first cutoff

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • Admission to DU for Humanities courses is purely on the basis of marks, through a cut off which is different for every college, which I personally think is very inadequate.
  • There should be interviews to filter out the best of best since it's supposed to be the best govt University, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University.
