The passing grade in the 12th class. Taking entrance exams like JEE MAINS and CGPT. The admission process requires your Adhaar card 12th marks card, domicile, migration certificate, transfer certificate, your photos. I have both JEE and CGPT as entrance exam Cutoffs for general candidates were about and for electronic and telecommunications was for round 1-84 round 2-83 and 83 for round 3.

BIT Durg is the second best college in chattisgarh state after NIT Raipur. To get a seat in this college a student must have to clear 12th board with 60% for general student and 40% for sc St student. A student can get a seat in this college by clearing CGPET with decent score or by getting good marks in jee mains. Average rank cutoff for cse department goes around 100-300 for general student and 1000-9000 for reserved category student.

For admission in BIT, Durg one has to clear PET(Pre Engineering Test) and there are various cutoffs for a different type of caste for General caste it was around 80marks and it gradually decreases for OBC&SC/ST for the students of Chattisgarh.For students of outside states, they can apply through their JEE rank card if any seat available and it matches the eligibility criteria they can take admission in this college.For Mechanical Engineering this year was around 75

A student who wants to take admission in BIT Durg, for BE in Computer Science and Engineering must belong from the mathematics field with first division (60%). For admission, procedure student qualifies entrance exams like - PET with good rank and JEE. Cut off depends on students but if student having good marks then they the chances of selection is high.

The eligibility criteria for this college was an entrance exam. As this is the topmost college of Bhilai so this college took only people with high rank. I took the entrance examination and got a good rank good enough to get electronics and telecommunication branch in this. The cut off was rank 800.

One should be eligible if he/she has passed 12th with PCB stream, With min. 65%. You will have to appear CGPET or JEE MAIN to take admission. And you should be ranked under 500 for the mechanical branch, There is also an alternative option of MQ (management quota) for admission.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 Graduation and a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+4 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates.

The fee for Mtech is 1.29 lakhs/-

Admission in First Year of BE Courses:

Admission to all the courses are subject to granting of Affiliation by CSVTU, Bhilai and are regulated by the Ordinance of the University and guidelines framed by the Admission & Fee Regulatory Committee of the State.

Admission Procedure:

Admission to all the courses are conducted through Central Online Counseling administered by Directorate of technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. The dates and other details of such counselling are displayed through advertisement in local newspapers as well as their official website (www.cgdteraipur.ac.in). However admission under Sponsored Category, Part Time courses and management Quota seats are administered at the Institute level.

Quota for admission in Undergraduate Courses:

As per the admission procedure laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, 10% of the annual approved intake is reserved for candidates outside Chhattisgarh, 15% of the annual intake is earmarked as management Quota seats and 75% of the annual intake is marked as State (Chhattisgarh) Quota seats for admission to the undergraduate (BE) courses being offered by the Institute. However, this distribution may vary from year to year and hence the aspirants are required to confirm the distribution from the official website of DTE, Govt. of Chhattisgarh.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:

Under this scheme an additional 5% students will be admitted as per the guidelines of the Admission Policy framed by the State Government during the concerned year of admission. This intake will be over and above the approved intake. However, TFW will be applicable only if the number of students admitted exceeds the approved intake.

Reservation Policy in admission:

The Institute strictly adheres to the reservation policy framed by the State Government vide gazette notification bearing No. F9-02/2012/T.E./42 dated 19.02.2013, which stipulates as under :
“From academic session 2013-14 and onwards, 12%, 32% and 14% of total sanctioned seats in different courses provided by private unaided technical educational institutions shall be reserved for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) respectively for the purpose of admission in the State’.
