This club was formed in collaboration with CREDA (Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Authority), Government of Chhattisgarh. It is supported by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency of the Government of India through CREDA. It is in process of obtaining NGO status, thus making it the first students' club of an engineering institution in India to do so. It conducted Central India's first solar robot racing competition in 2009.

This club has its own quizzing team, cultural team and management team. The robotics club manages the technical requirements.

Robotics Club – VERVE

The robotics club is the only unofficial club of BIT. Managed fully by students, this club conducts annual workshops for first year and second year students in the field of manual and autonomous robotics. It conducts workshops at the Bhilai Institute of Technology (Durg and Raipur Campuses) and the Shankracharya Institute of Professional Management (Raipur). All technical events of BIT are managed by this club. Its students have won laurels in many technical festivals conducted all over India.
