The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) is responsible for Haryana BTech admission 2023. Candidates must pass the JEE Main exam to be eligible for Haryana BTech admission. The Haryana BTech admission seat allocation is based on applicants' choices, JEE Main and 10+2 qualifying test results, and the available seats.

Haryana BTech Admission Eligibility Criteria

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), held nationally, determines the Haryana BTech admission. Allotment of seats for the HSTES 2023 will only be made available to applicants who meet all the eligibility requirements. Thus, candidates must verify HSTES eligibility before applying. The following is a list of the qualifying criteria for Haryana BTech admission 2023. 

Eligibility Criterias for B.Tech Course

  • Candidates must have completed a 10+2 degree or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Candidates must have scored a 45% or above in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational Subject.
  • The minimum passing score for applicants from the reserved category is 40%.
  • Candidates for the Btech Biotechnology programme should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Computer Science.

Category wise Eligibility Criteria

Kashmiri Migrants (KM) -  Kashmiri migrants would be admitted to supernumerary seats based on qualifying exam merit.Candidates in this category must submit an official migration certificate signed by the Relief commissioner.The percentage will be taken from marks in Mathematics, Physics, English, and any of the following subjects, Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational. 

Haryana Government School Toppers (HGST) - The applicant must show a certificate signed by the Principal/Headmaster of the Government school where they achieved the highest academic standing. The class size and average student performance must be included on the certificate.

Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) - The extra seats will be allocated to the applicants in this category. Individuals whose family's annual income is less than Rs. 8 lac per year will be considered for the waiver. The relevant applicants must show the income certificates they have been issued.

Haryana BTech Admission Process

The JEE Main scores and other qualifying marks determine Haryana BTech admission. Students who clear the JEE exams may register for counselling and pay the counselling fee. The following is a detailed description of the standard admissions procedure used for Haryana BTech admission.

  • The first step in taking the entrance exam is to register online. 
  • JEE Main merit/inter-se merit of qualifying examinations (only for certain categories), applicant choice preferences, course preference, and engineering college seat availability will determine HSTES seat allocation. 
  • HSTES will publish the selected student's name on the merit list on their official website.
  • Students must pay the counselling fees to register and participate in the counselling process.
  • After seat allocation, applicants must obtain a provisional seat allotment letter from the official website.
  • Students may then visit the institution and pay the initial semester fees.
