The placement session 2018-19 has been a very successful season for students of Chandigarh University, with more than 627 top MNC's on campus making 6617 offers with INR 35 LPA is the highest package offered. The median package was worth INR 5.96 LPA, and 6314 students in total were placed among the well-reputed recruiting companies. 

Students from the Engineering department were able to grab dream jobs and lucrative packages in top MNC’s such as Amazon, Microsoft, SAP Labs, VMWare, HP, Deloitte, Cognizant, Sapient, Hitachi, Practo Technologies, Flipkart, Gwynniebee India, Zomato.Com, L&T, TAFE, John Deere, Schindler, and Deepak Nitrate. 

The Department of Management saw an upward trend with domain-specific companies in banking and insurance, retail, FMCG, Business Analytics, manufacturing and hospitality sectors with the highest package being INR 14 LPA.

Faculties are good. Chandigarh University gives us the best platform to achieve our dreams. Best infrastructure, highly qualified teachers, good hostel facilities with wi-fi, modern labs for project work, and research works. Our ECE department is one of the best departments in CU in terms of the teaching and learning process as well as placements. CU University is 100% ragging free.

With more than 22000+ students enrolling every year, admission for all programs are done through CUCET scores and counseling conducted by the university. Certain programs accept different scorecards for admission.

In the case of the B.Tech/B.Arch program, admission is done on the basis of JEE Main Paper I/JEE Main Paper II or  NATA score, respectively. Similarly, for ME/ M.Arch, candidates must have a recent valid GATE score.

For the MBA program, a candidate must have a valid score of either CAT/MAT/GMAT. For PhD courses, the CU-PhD entrance test is conducted by the university although CSIR NET/UGC NET/GATE/GPAT/SLET qualified candidates can also apply for admission.

Upon shortlisting on the basis of submitted scores, we need to go through group discussion and personal interview round.

For other undergraduate programs, completion of 10+2 level of education is a must with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. In order to foster academic diversity, Chandigarh university has more than 250 tie-ups with foreign universities. This helps to establish partnerships and facilitate student exchange programs with them. 

CU has the best infrastructure with highly qualified teachers. The method and quality of teaching are great. Industrial based course curriculum and has more emphasis on practical learning rather than theoretical knowledge. Regular workshops and seminars held by industrial experts. Supportive and encouraging faculty from renowned institutions. Choices of open electives to enhance our talents. Regular activities and competitions for the students along with the creation of new clubs and associations with social groups.

Chandigarh University gives us the best platform to achieve our dreams. There are lots of departmental clubs and cultural club events organized by the university and student clubs. The main event is Apratim, a cultural fest.
