From the end of sixth sem of your course, you can apply for internships off-campus, otherwise there will be companies that come to hire students for internship programs though that is purely merit based and how you perform in interviews.

Core companies like HIKAL pharma,HUL(Hindustan uniliver limited),cipla are some of the core companies that vist the campus for full time job profiles. The salaries staring from 3l p.a-5l p.a can be expected. Almost 60-70% of the students are placed based on their interests.

The college campus is spread across 15 acres of land with lush greenery and a rock garden. It is loacted at Basavanagudi which is right at the heart of the city with a good transportation network.

The hostel campus is located inside the college campus. It also has a seperate hostel for international students. The food available in the college campus is pretty good with good hygene.

I got into this college via CET entrance examination. I had secured 14700 rank and got selected for chemical engineering. The chemical engineering department of BMSCE was eastablished in 1996. It is a core department. It offers good placements but it is bit difficult to get a core profile job since competition is high and few core chemical companies visit. Otherwise the academics are pretty good and professors are friendly and cooperative.

The college timings are not very hectic and there are boundings for going in and out of college campus. Attendence is quite strict in college and you need to maintain a minimum of 75%.

The teaching faculty is knowledgeable and cooperative.

Overall, the college experience is quite interesting and fun.

There are various opportunities for scholarship which are to be applied through college.

There are various clubs for the students based on their interests. Cells like enterprunership developmet cell, rotaract club, mountaineering club, theatre,music etc are available and lot of exposure can be aquired though these clubs and cells.

The college also hosts the biggest college fest of banglore called the UTSAV which is held every year during April. Other technical fests like Phaseshift which is held during September.
