Placements and Internships
Placement is good. The core companies that visit the institute are CIL, Vedantha and TATA Steel. There are many consulting firms and management firms that come for placements. For IT, there are many options. The average is around INR 12-14 Lakhs per annum.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very good and cheap. Food is good and affordable. No need for other options as the college will give hostel facility to all the students. And for food, there are many restaurants nearby. Infrastructure and classrooms are good.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
Eligibility is same as other IITs and admission procedure is by JEE Advanced rank and JOSAA Counselling. JEE is the one and only way to get admission. Cutoffs are dependent on the reservations. For Open category, it is around 8500 rank.
Academics and Faculty
Quality of teaching is good. The classes are from 9 am to 5 pm.
Fees and Scholarships
The academic fee is around INR 2 lakh per year. Economically and socially backward people get scholarships from the government. loans are needed.
Clubs and Associations
One of the best college life in the whole country. Fests are each separate for sports, tech and cultural.
