Normally for the given course, there are 3 lectures in a week from Monday to Friday and in the exam structure, there are two quizzes for a course and 1 mid sem exam and one end sem exam.

Course fee for B tech programme is around INR 1,25,000 per annum, while the students are provided the scholarship namely MCM whose family income is below INR 5 lakhs per annum and whose CPI is more than 6.5 can apply for the scholarship and 5 other financial support is also provided for the student belonging to SC and ST caste.

For the batch of 2018 the average package was around INR 14 lakh per annum in which the highest package was of INR 40 lakhs per anum in the computer science branch while for the mechanical and electrical the average package was about INR 12 lakhs per annum and for civil and chemical engineering the average package was around INR 8 lakhs per annum.

There is a big hostel building consisting of 4 blocks namely a b c and d and one new hostel is also under construction nearby present hostel and the hostel fees and mess fees of included in the course fees and the mess food quality is good but not comparable to the home food. The classes are very big and well equipped with Technology like the projector microphone, AC etc and the Laboratories also have very sophisticated instruments. Library also contains many books related to the academic courses and some other related to interest areas of various students.

IIT Patna main festival is the techno-cultural fest which is Anwesha, it is the second biggest event in East India and it has many cultural and Technical events in which the students from many colleges from the various States participate and it is a very successful event and another event is technical event which takes place in October and it is Celesta and various other programs also organised in the college throughout the year.

Btech course admission is given by JEE ADVANCED exam and the students scoring up to a rank of 10000 are admitted in the various courses under 23 IITs. I gave the JEE ADVANCED in 2015 and got the rank of 6661 and enrolled in the Civil Engineering branch of IIT Patna.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE: Alcohol is stricly prohibited inside campus but there is no restrictions in bars/pubs/restraurents around campus. IIT Patna is striclty anti-ragging. Students from various ethnicity, race, religion and economic staus come to study here all over the country clearing a common entrance test. SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE:

Alcohol is strictly prohibited inside the campus but it is easily accessible near the campus.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:

Various student clubs and councils are managed by students which organize many extracurricular and academic activities throughout the year.
These clubs are the bodies under the control of Student Gymkhana.
There is an annual techno-cultural festival, Anwesha.
Nebula, the annual fresher party, is a tradition at IIT Patna.
One can enjoy every aspect of an ideal hostel life at IIT Patna.

HOSTELS & FOOD:

On-campus hostel facilities are provided for students but PG and other options are available at an affordable cost near to campus.
The quality of food is not so good on campus but outside restaurants provide really good and tasty food.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK:

Many companies like Google, Samsung, iol, ntpc, and other manangement , software, civil and other branches related companies provide internships to students.average salary for computer science is 30lakhs and highest is 1.8 crores and 90% students placed.And so is the stats of other branches

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:

Anwesha is the annual event happen in the month of February.good environment overall.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:

The class is from 9 to 2 in afternoon and lab from 2 to 5 in the evening.Midsem and ends are there.very good teaching on board and smart classes. Have very good experience

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:

Course fee per semester is 65k .students are also provided with merit cum scholarship for economically weak students. Whose income is less than 5lakh are eligible and should have 6.5 cpi.aproximately 40 students get a scholarship.Loans are also available from SBI and Canara banks and other banks at a very low-interest rate
