- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University infrastructure is excellent. You can see a fully natural environment on the campus.
- The hostels are very good.

- The eligibility criteria for joining SMVD University is one must have to clear the JEE MAIN exams.

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is Rs. 1.6 Lakh per annum. Top 6 students will get 100%, 50%, 25%, 10% concession in the tuition fee respectively. 6 members from each course get scholarships every year. Yes, loans are needed and we get them easily from the banks.
Academics & Faculty : This university has one of the best time schedules where classes are taken from 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 1 hour in between from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. The students at SMVDU experience a remarkable & refreshingly different teaching-learning process which goes beyond the mundane and has been pioneered at the IITs for many decades. Academic Flexibility, Focus on Hands-on Learning, Varied Pedagogy, Mandatory Industrial Interface & Transparent Continuous Evaluation System are the hallmarks of the Academic Process at SMVDU. Extensive usage of varied contemporary pedogagy like Multi-media teaching aids, including Digital Light Projectors, Overhead Projectors, Net Enabled Labs, Video Conferencing, Cut Section Models, Simulation & Analysis Software, Colloquiums, Seminar, Field Trips, Mini & Major Projects enrich the teaching-learning process.SMVDU students are encouraged to break the mould and go beyond their disciplnes, inter-disciplinary courses are highly encouraged.
