- For selection into Biotechnology stream, minimum criteria were physics ,chemistry, mathematics in 10+2 boards and a minimum of 60% aggregate percentage.
- JEE MAIN entrance examination was conducted all over India and minimum marks for general candidates was 60. For securing a seat out of 30 in Biotechnology a candidate needs to score a minimum of 70 in JEE MAIN.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fees per year are Rs.83,000 for pursuing a course in self-sustaining branch. Medhabruti and Prerana scholarships are available.
- Medhabruti provides Rs.10000 per year and prana is only meant for sc st candidates

When I took the admission, it was through OJEE, but now the scores are evaluated from JEE-Mains. Typically, Instrumentation and Electronics had to rank a minimum of 2000. I was ranked 1068.
