College starts at 10.00 AM and you get to go home by 4.30 PM. Classrooms are well furnished with every facility. Teachers are amazing with having adequate knowledge about the subject and the best part is you'll not get to find such an environment in any of the colleges in the country.

The college has many societies and clubs which includes- Aero Club ASCE student chapter ASME student chapter and many more.

• Assignments are given after completing each chapter in each subject.
• Exams are conducted by our BPUT university every 6 months.
• There are two projects given - one is a minor project and the other is a major project and we are completing our major project on All Terrain Vehicle(ATV).
• Teachers are well qualified and the quality of education is good.
• Overall my college is good and preferable.

• Orissa Engineering College has been the virtual yardstick of quality and method of teaching education in Odisha since its inception.
• Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering are the flagship departments of OEC, whereas other departments like Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and IT too are on the equal footing.
• The departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering have been graded as A++ or similar by various reporters and accreditation bodies.
• Academics definitely are at par with what the industry has to ask for.
• OEC could improve vastly if it involves a bit more of practical exposure.
• Lack of the practical orientation of B.Tech studies have always been the sore point of BPUT, and thus OEC shares the same sufferings.
• Classroom teaching could be made even more interesting if virtual teaching aids were to be used by the faculty.
• OEC boasts of a standing army of vastly qualified personnel and faculty.
• Professors, lecturers, and other teaching staffs have been equally very curious and sought to help the students.

• Currently, BPUT may or may not offer any student to venture out of its territory. Thus, it may not be feasible for any student to enroll himself/herself for a student exchange program at Orissa Engineering College. This virtually rules out the scenario of any prospective international exposure.
• Though students have been thoroughly encouraged to participate in various tech-fests, sessions, seminars and other such associated opportunities.
• English is the actual medium of instructions at OEC, yet Oriya and Hindi remain the preferred language.

• Orissa Engineering College has been fondly remembered as the Only Entertainment College by its alumni network.
• Needless to say, one can pursue every bit of his/her interests at Orissa Engineering College.
• Sporting events like Cricket, Badminton, Table-Tennis and Athletics are given a huge impetus.
• Students have been encouraged to participate in various prestigious sporting events and fests across the country.

• Orissa Engineering College has always been an institution to look up to in Odisha; needless to say, OEC has been the pioneer of engineering in Odisha with itself having this distinction of being the first private engineering college in this Eastern part of the country.
• Students from various parts of the country, particularly from Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh have taken their admissions over the entire course of OEC's history.

The student to teacher ratio is good.Choices of courses is according to the student.only selected faculty has good methodology.Test are conducted according to bout regulations.

There currently no foreign exchange programs. Language spoken on campus is English ,Hindi & Oriya.Few go to other countries for future studies

There are many club like robotics,art dance literature etc who are active through out the academic year.students are allowed to do rally for social causes

Alcohol is not allowed around campus.seniors are always around the Junior to guide them throughout their year.students are given proctor also

10-5.15 is the daily routine of the college. very good quality of teaching, very good experience in college.

Teaching is not that much good here. Not the fault of teachers. Modern resources are lacking. Very old teaching style is still followed. Everything else is okay and satisfactory.

Not have focused on the societies and social parameters. You need to be active in your interests. Zazen is technical fest and Zephyr is a cultural fest.

• The class timings are from 9AM to 4:30PM.

Some of the faculties are really genius. You are really lucky if you get the classes from some marvellous faculties in OEC, Orissa.

The Cultural fest is one of the biggest events in the college.

Many big stars like BENNY DAYAL and MIKA SINGH has come in the fest.
