Placements and Internships

3

  • Yeah, I did an internship but from Internshala.
  • The key companies that visit here are mostly related to Software and IT industry.
  • The placement in computer science is almost 100% and the average salary is INR 4 lakh per annum, with highest being INR 10 lakh per annum.
  • The Alumni network is quite good, old pass out from this college are all around the world today at esteemed positions.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • The eligibility criteria are PCM in class 12th with above 65% and admission procedure is simple, you just have to appear for the UPSEE state entrance exam.
  • The entrance examination is UPSEE for this state government college.
  • The cutoff is usually that you have to score under 1100 rank.

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • Total course fee is INR 96,000 (with hostel and mess facility) and INR 55,000 (without hostel and mess facility) for a year.
  • In each branch, there 3 fee waiver seats are there which goes to the financially weak branch rank openers, respectively. Other than that students get here scholarship from UP government under which financially weak students get their total money back except mess fees.
  • Any bank can give you the loan for the same.

Clubs and Associations

4

  • There are student societies of each branch and they conduct fest for it, throughout the year. They conduct events related to the respective branches for building up the personality and competitive knowledge of the students. For dance, singing, drama etc there are clubs in members are selected through an audition.
  • The cultural fest is ENCORE, the sports fest is SHAURYAUTSAVA, the tech fest is PRAKARAM.
  • The college is average and what I felt throughout my study is, it's all up to the student they actually make the environment and mindset of people so if you are willing to learn and interact it's the best place and in fact, every place is the best place otherwise there is no place for you. I am very much active in the college in each and everything and I learned a lot from here. It changed me in four years.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission procedure for my course at IET was pretty straightforward. We had to appear for the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) exam and based on the final rank achieved by the candidate, he/she would be allocated various colleges. At that time, there were three main government engineering colleges that students preferred, HBTI Kanpur, IET Lucknow and MMMEC Gorakhpur. For IET, You had to have a General rank within the top 2000 to have a shot at admission along with quota seats for OBC, SC, ST, Armed Forces, Freedom Fighter, etc. There are no such eligibility criteria for a particular course except a valid UPSEE score and rank. In general, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering are the most sought after branches and typically admit students with general ranks within the top 1400 in the UPSEE.
