The class starts at 9:10 AM and ends at 4:30 PM. There are slots of 7 classes total each 50 min and there is a lunch break in between (12:30 to 2 pm), most of the days (around 4 days) there are only 2 classes and other days maximum 4 or sometimes 5 quality of teaching is pure genius, some of the teachers are absolutely class apart, and others are also very good, my overall experience till now is amazing.

The course fee per year is around INR 1 lakh 34 thousand, government scholarship options are available here.

UP conducts it state engineering exam and because IET is state college so it takes students who qualify UPSEE/UPTU. There are enormous other colleges who take the student from UPSEE entrance test.

There are many fest organised in our college. Every branch organise their own fest and other branches participate in it. And there are also tech fest parakram, college fest encore, aktu fest pravah etc. Are organised every year. Every student got scholarship as per criteria. There are many students club like dance club, photography club, drama club, robotics club, coding club etc.

We do have a good 24x7 Wi-Fi connectivity, in hostels and classroom as well. We have all the labs, ranging from VLSI design lab to the workshop where we make our ekocart and go-carts. We have separate departments for the incharge of laboratories. Lecture theatres are big enough and appropriate for study. Yes there is a library and a big play ground of 400m track. There are two big canteens in the campus and one of which is open 24x7. The quality of food is good.

There is a modern Oditorium for cultural activities.

It consists of international level GAME COMPLEX.

The teachers in our college are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is fair but not attractive. They have only bookish knowledge, not practical. They only explain the theorems, not its application. But, the students are really talented and aimed towards their dreams. The support from the faculty differs among departments.

Fees for B.Tech IT and EI is INR 1,19,275 per annum (due to self-financed branch).

And for another branch it is INR 1,04,275 per year,

the above is (tuition fee + hostel fee).

Hostel fee- INR 14,500 at Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Every year you will get INR 85,000 scholarship.

 Core branches placements are not inside the college.Mostly the students of CS and IT branch get chances for placements. The average package offered is around 4.5 LPA for CS and IT and 4 LPA for others. If you get this college, then you may not have to think about placements because most of the students of this college get good rank in GATE, CAT and other competitive exams.

Their are different societies for students to join according to their interests . Kalakriti - Arts society Drams - Dramatics society Insaniax - Choreo Team Swaranjali - Singing Team Parmarth - Social Club Swaranjali and Drams are the best performing clubs in IET Lucknow . They have won awards and trophies in IIT and IIM level competitions . Life in College is good . You will get friends and girlfriends here . You will be gutted for missing out on your dream NIT or IIT but soon you will settle down in the atmosphere and will start to enjoy the college life .

There are 3 girls hostels ( +1 in construction ) and 7 boys hostels for studens in IET Lucknow . Other options are also available and they cost around 3000 Rs per month outside the college . The food is almost good and performs well in terms of hostel food . It costs Rs 17000/- per semester with hostel room included . Quality of classrooms is quite good . A newly constructed lecture theater is very spacious and is good for teaching . Labs are average and equipments are outdated . Library is well equipped with vast amount of books related to science and technology . Wi-Fi in hostel works dodgy at times but provides good internet speeds . For 3rd and 4th year students , LAN ports are given in rooms of hostels and they have super fast internet speeds .

Daily routine is very light and rarely hectic . The classes are well balanced with lab classes so that everything works at tandem. Their are plenty of free slots in the time table so that students can utilize it by doing something of their own liking . The quality of teaching goes from average to good . Some teachers are really very qualified and will clear your doubts but some will just come and utter out the words from the book which you can easily go and study in your hostel rooms . My overall experience is good till now .

The course fees for B.Tech in IET Lucknow is Rs 58,825 per year . There are scholarships and fee waiver seats available for students coming from low income households .

Key companies that come for placements are mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys and only for branches like CS , IT and ECE . For other branches there are very little to almost negligble opportunities when it comes to placements . That is why they have to depend on competitive exams like GATE , IES and CAT . Alumni network is very well established and the college recently celebrated their 25th allumni reunion with '92 batch of IET Lucknow .

The eligibility criteria for UPSEE is minimum of 45% ( 40% for SC/ST candidates ) marks in Class 12th from any recognized board with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects . The cutoff ranks for branches in IET Lucknow is as follows : CSE - 2700 EC - 4300 EE - 4100 ME - 3700 IT - 4000 CIVIL - 4200 These are for core branches in IET Lucknow

Hostels are provided here. PGs are also available. Food offered here is good. Classrooms, labs, and library all are good.

I have done an internship in java. Key companies are TCS, Hexaview and much more that recruit from the campuses. The average package is INR 4 lakh per annum. The alumni network is very good here.

A student should have a minimum of 60% marks in his/her undergraduate degree(BCA).

There are societies for dance, music, singing, drama, photography, writing, and sports etc. Parakram, Shauryotsava, and Encore are main events on the campuses. Life is quite funny and encouraging.

There are total 10 hostels. No Hostel fee. PGs are very costly. Food is good and it costs around INR 45 per meal. Infrastructure is very good.

Daily routine is well defined. Classes are conducted from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Quality and methods of teaching are quite appreciable. Overall experience is very good.

Our course fee is around INR 58,000 per annum. Around 50 scholarships options are available on the campuses. Around 90% of students get scholarships. I don't know about loans.

I have not done any internship till now. A company such as Hero, Honda, TATA, and BHEL come to our campuses for the recruitment. Average packages are around INR 4.5 lakh and highest was INR 60 lakh per annum. Alumni network is good.

A student should have passed his/her 12th Board with a minimum of 50%(PCM) of marks. To get enrolled for Computer Branch one should have a rank under 1500.

Rs 45000(INR) per year is the fees for MCA course. Students who apply for scholarship get a scholarship.

TCS, Wipro, and other IT companies visit here for campus placement. The fee structure is good.

It is first ranked government college for MCA in UPTU. I take UPTU exam to take admission in this college.

• UPSEE is the entrance exam required to get into Institute of Engineering and Technology.
• Mostly the cut off for general category is 6000 rank

• Admission at Institute of Engineering and Technology was done on the basis of rank in UPSEE exam 2015.
• It is quite difficult to score marks for rank less than 2000.

• The campus life in IET is quite peaceful and laid back for most people who are not registered for every other thing. I was not one of them, though.
• There are multiple clubs and societies, such as:

1. TARANTISM, the dance club, which I was the leader of, for 2015 and 2016.
2. IET JOSH, the crazy dramatics club which wins almost anywhere they go to perform.
3. SWARANJALI, the singing and music team of the college.
4. College football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, etc. teams.
5. There are also literary societies, tech clubs and social club at IET.

• The main festival on campus is ENCORE, which is a technical cum cultural fest and usually is organized in March. There is great excitement and aura in the college when Encore is approaching. There is also a sports festival SHAURYOTSAVA for the sports enthusiasts and is usually organized in November. Both are inter-college fests and thus people from many colleges in Lucknow show active participation.
• In general, the life in college is pretty good and laid back, especially if you are a part of an exclusive group like the dance club or the dramatics club, etc.
• The classes are mostly free (especially in CS) and people just move around the college leisurely.
• Lucknow is a great city for students and IET students are well respected. 

• The infrastructure of IET is decent enough. There are two main college buildings where classes run. The second one is a newly built building that is mainly used for first-year classes.
• There are 8 boys hostels of which five belong to the third and final year students and one each for the first year, second year and MCA/MBA students. There are 4 girls hostels in which one is entirely for first-year girls and the other three are distributed among second, third and final year girls, none having a hostel entirely for themselves.
• The yearly hostel fee is Rs. 10,500 and the hostel mess fee is Rs. 16000-18000. The mess fee is mandatory if the student lives in the hostel.
• There is small rooms and large rooms available right outside the college for students and the rent varies from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 10,000 monthly. Sharing of rooms is quite common among people who live on the premises.
• The food in the hostel messes is satisfactory in most of them while great food is available in the C-Block hostel mess, accessible to only C-Block residents and outsiders. It costs from Rs. 16000 to Rs. 18000 depending on the mess.
• The classrooms are very standard huge government building halls with wooden seats. They are large enough to seat all the students. The labs, on the other hand, are mostly non-functional and obsolete with outdated equipment and untrained staff, although some labs are an exception.
• There is a library with an average collection of books. It is not open 24x7, so students complain about that a lot. Books can be issued for 15 days at once and there is a reading area in the library separately.
• Apart from all this, all the boy's hostels are equipped with high-speed wi-fi or ethernet internet connections. The internet is great and runs very smoothly at least a 100 Mbps.
• This is one of the major things that keep people in the hostels. There is an auditorium, a canteen, a student activity center, and a sports field in the premises.

• Now this is where IET hits the deck. The academics here suffer from a variety of factors, right from an outdated AKTU curriculum, lack of faculty members, lack of interest among both the students and teachers, etc.
• Poor teaching methodology and uninteresting classes.
• The classes start at 09:10 AM every working day and run till 04:30 PM. In this time period, most classes are not taken for the first two months or so just because no teacher is assigned the class. Many classes are short and do not run very often because of the uninterested students.
• There are two class tests every semester before the final exams. The students are generally given copy-paste assignments which are readily available on the Internet.
• The quality and method of teaching are extremely poor. There are underqualified teachers amidst a lack of faculty in the college. There are a few good professors who know their stuff but are generally busy in office politics and/or their research work.
• Overall both the academics and the faculty are very poor at IET and none of the outdated subjects offer any professional advantage.

• The fee is quite low for IET, being a state government engineering college.
• The course fee for the year is about Rs. 48000 for the first year and about Rs. 38000 in the subsequent years. Apart from this, the hostel and mess fee add up to Rs. 25,000.
• The college doesn't offer any scholarships on its own. However, a certain group of students, decided by their family's annual income, do get a scholarship from the UP government, amounting approximately to Rs. 64,000.
• Generally, people don't take loans to study at IET. But if you do need one, any bank will offer you a loan, provided you are eligible. 

• This is an area where IET is not one of the good places. The placements and internship opportunities at IET are above average at best, and that too can only be said for Computer Science (CS) and Electronics and Communication (EC) graduates.
• The major recruiter every year from the campus is Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS), hiring on an average 80 to 100 students from all branches. Similar companies hiring majorly from CS and IT branches like Wipro, Tech Mahindra cover the rest of the 50 to 60 students.
• For CS, there are a few product based companies hiring for developer roles, like Adobe, Pitney Bowes, Analytic Quotient, Aurigo Software, MediTab, etc. but only about half of them can be called consistent recruiters.
• The average salary offered is around Rs. 4 Lakhs per annum. The highest package offered is Rs. 9.2 Lakhs PA, offered by Adobe. The rest of the product based companies offer anywhere between Rs. 4 to 6 Lakhs PA.
• There are no companies visiting the campus for internship roles, so there is no support from the college for internships and you are on your own. I bagged two internships off campus but it is a very rare sight for someone to be doing an internship, especially if you are not from CS or IT.
• The alumni network is quite weak. If you know alumni or can get him to talk to you and help you out, you're going to be just fine but very rarely there's an initiative from alumni on the jobs front.

• The admission procedure for my course at IET was pretty straightforward. We had to appear for the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) exam and based on the final rank achieved by the candidate, he/she would be allocated various colleges.
• At that time, there were three main government engineering colleges that students preferred, HBTI Kanpur, IET Lucknow and MMMEC Gorakhpur.
• For IET, You had to have a General rank within the top 2000 to have a shot at admission along with quota seats for OBC, SC, ST, Armed Forces, Freedom Fighter, etc.
• There are no such eligibility criteria for a particular course except a valid UPSEE score and rank.
• In general, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering are the most sought after branches and typically admit students with general ranks within the top 1400 in the UPSEE.
