Anirudh Rao's Review on RV College of Engineering, [RVCE] Bangalore

RVCE boasts of having the best campus placements in the entire state of Karnataka. Every year various top IT/Core/Mass Recruiters/Manufacturing companies visit the college. For the level of personality development and skill development training that the students get through the 2nd 3rd and the 4th years, the college has a great track record in terms of successfully placed students with average salary packages ranging from Rs.10-20L.
Rvce also has a great alumni association with each one of them excelling in different fields in today's world. However the college also highly encourages students working at various internships to help them enhance their skills.

RVCE is spread across and area of 51 odd acres and boasts about the best infratructural facilities. Each Department having their own respective buildings and also special space designated for various state of the art facilities. A very well equipped library that is enabled by the use of smart cards. We have a Food Court that serve all kinds of good quality South/North Indian and chinese dishes at subsidised rates. There are 4 hostels for boys inside the campus itself, one for each repective year of students. The hostels have their own respective mess', all providing a good quality food with an average meal costing about Rs. 30 per peal at an average. There are also 4 girls hostels outside that campus and are well connected with college bus facility. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The college also provides bus services to students across the entire city to commute. 

Discipline is something that is usually associated with the crowd in colleges. RVCE boasts of a highly professional faculty who have a wide range of teaching as well as industrial experiences. Coming to the academics, the word 'discipline' can be aptly applied to this college. RVCE being an autonomous institution, they have the liberty to set their own syllabus, which they do so keeping the latest real world needs in mind. And also unlike most other colleges, RVCE has a set timetable for the entire year and we very strictly go by that. It is such a relief as the students know whats coming ahead and can plan how to spend their time accordingly. All Classes start at 9am sharp and extends to about 4:30pm. Every classroom in the campus is equipped with projectors enabling the teachers to conduct interactive audio/video/QEEE courses which are very helpful. Finished 2 years of mine and this college and i've been having a great experience so far.

My fees comes up to about Rs 70,000 for the entire year's tution apart from which Rs 60,000 for availing hostel facilities. Scholarship options are available to highly meritorious students and also for backward category students but not many get it. I've taken up an education loan to fund for my college expenses and yes, it is easily available with any banks. HDFC,ICICI,BOI,AXIS,SBI,KOTAK and many other banks offer such loans.

RVCE has the most number of student clubs  when compared to any other engineering colleges across the entire country. RVCE has a huge number of both technical and non technical clubs as well. We have vehicular clubs, Ashwa, Helios, Chimera, Garuda, each specialising in different types of cars such as Race cars, All terrain, fuel efficient cars, Solar cars, etc. We also have two aero modelling clubs Vyoma and Jatayu. Non technical clubs include the Deb-Soc, RV QuizCorp, Entrepreneurship cell, Raag, Rotaract, Raag, NSS, NCC, Circle of Acting at RV(CARV) and various other such clubs. The college has an annual techno-cultural fest calld '8th Mile' attracting crowds from all across the country. Overall, it is a great experience to be studying here and one must feel very lucky to be a part of such an atmosphere for 4 precious years.
