Placements and Internships

3

  • I am in first year so I have no idea in this regard
  • TCS, Wipro, TechMahindra, Larsen and Tubro are some companies that I am aware of.
  • INR 300000 per year is average and Rs 900000-1200000 per year is highest annual salary package. About 50% students get placed in my department.
  • The alumni network is very strong.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

1

  • There are five hostels. They are below par and very bad. Hostel fee per month is around 2000 INR.
  • There are many alternate accomodations. They cost around 4000 INR per month.
  • Food in college is very bad. The cost is included in monthly charge.
  • Classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls and Wi-Fi all need heavy investment. They are very bad as of now.

Academics and Faculty

3

  • Class timings are very lenient and not at all demanding.
  • The quality and method of teaching requires improvement
  • It is a decent institution.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • My course fee is Rs 30000 per semester
  • Mostly for minority and reserved sections. General candidates are rarely provided scholarships.
  • less than 10% of general candidates are awarded fee waivers
  • Loans are generally not required.

Clubs and Associations

1

  • There are many student societies but most of them are inactive.
  • There is an annual Tech festival and Cultutral festival.
  • College life apart from studies is extremely dull.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The candidate must clear the WBJEE exam and must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute. The cutoff rank must be below 17000.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : First of all, you should give WBJEE entrance exam then through the e-counseling process you can take admission in JGEC. There is nothing about cut-off because every year it varies. But I think you should rank lesser than 5000 if you want to take admission.
