- DAILY TIMING:-usually our class timing in my 2nd year is from 8 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 6 PM we have either our tutorial classes or practicals. However this time is variable i.e we don't have class daily and contuiosly from 8 am to 1 pm and same is with tutorial classes.
- QUALITY AND METHOD OF TEACHING :-I will that here most of(not all) teacher don't know how to teach and some of them also don't know what to teach.the usual and worst method of teaching is ppt presentation method (although it is good for some non-interesting subjects).The best part of our college is our practical lab where we don't bored.
- OVERALL EXPERIENCE:- there are some bad thing and some good thing in my college.bad thing is in IITR people don't have so much connection with seniors and we have struggle for internships,here facility and motivation for research is at zero level and same is with academics and best part is that it is IITR.

Academics & Faculty : Academics in IIT Roorkee has an explicit structure. Everything here is properly arranged. The first years and third years have their lectures in the morning whereas the second and fourth years have lectures in the afternoon but again this may differ from branch to branch. The other half is for tutorials and practicals. Lectures and tutorials go on for an hour whereas practicals may be of 2/3 hrs. Exams are divided in two sets: Mid-sems and End-sems. It becomes excruciating during the exam time as it goes on one after the other with only sunday as a gap. Assignments are divided on a weekly basis and discussed in the tutorial classes. The quality of teaching here is above average on an overall basis. Some of the departments here have excellent teachers with a lot of experience. Academics & Faculty : Daily routine consists of classes from 8 am - 6pm with varied intervals of break. Method of teaching is quite good but can be improved more in future if proper enthusiasm is induced. Overall experience is really very good.
