In 2022, around 43 companies visited the campus for recruitment purposes. Some of the top recruiters are from Wipro, Cognizant, and TCS. The highest median package was 4.25 LPA for the year 2022. 

The university has 14 hostels in total out of which 6 hostels are men's and 8 are women's. The university is a residential university, as a result, the locals prefer living on the campus itself. Mess dues come up to Rs. 1600 per month, which totals up to Rs. 19,200 yearly. There are single rooms, triple bedded rooms, double bedded rooms, and dormitories as well. The hostels serve decent food. The mess is managed by the students themselves. Every 15 days, a grand feast is held by the mess managers at the end of their term.

The University has top-class furniture for students. Every classroom is equipped with projectors and other amenities. Students are free to use them for presentation purposes. The university campus is connected to the Campus Connect WIFI portal. The WIFI can be accessed by students for free. 

Tezpur University is one of the best small Universities in India. NAAC has awarded it an A+. Tezpur University conducts its own entrance exam called TUEE. TU has different eligibility criteria for different subjects. All candidates are requested to review the prospectus for information regarding the same thoroughly. In TU the cut-off for MA in Linguistics is 46% for unreserved candidates. The cutoff is different for students with quotas. 

Classes at TU usually start at 9:40 AM and end by 2:30 PM. The University practices relative grading. A student should expect about 3 exams in a semester- first term, mid-term, and end term. All students must take these exams seriously as performing poorly in any one of them will reflect badly on the overall grading. The faculties are top-of-the-class with various accolades and publications under their belt. 

The Students at TU come from all parts of India. The environment is extremely inclusive and accepting. There is a strict Anti-ragging policy on campus, violation of this leads to a penalty. The University holds a month-long varsity week to promote bonding among students. 

Compared to other Central Universities in India, Tezpur University costs more. The admission fee in my department is around 18K. Tezpur University offers various scholarships and grants to students. To avail of these, it is better if students speak to their respective department offices. Education at the University is very affordable, so most students do not require loans. 

There are various societies and clubs at the university. To enquire about them the students should visit the Dean of Student Welfare's office. Students can sign up for various NGOs like- CRY, NSS, NCC, etc. The University is famed for its drama club. The university has a fully equipped gym and a swimming pool. The swimming pool can be accessed only in the summer months as it gets pretty cold during the winter months in Tezpur.

Tezpur university after the end of the Varsity week has a cultural night where artists from various parts of the country performing. The University has other fests such as TECHcetra and Insignis.
